Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Plenty of parking, short walk to the falls, picturesque landscape, and a nice cafe/shop - perfect stop to stretch our legs during a drive from Derry to Galway!

So very disappointed, we drove a long way to visit the waterfall. We parked in the car park and set off on the walk to the waterfall to be greeted with a no dogs allowed sign at the start of the path. It's outdoor on a nature path... we're very responsible dog owners and so saddened to have been prevented access with our quiet pupper.

Absolutely beautiful, a lovely place to visit. A short walk up to the waterfall. Plenty of parking. Also a decent cafe and gift shop. Well worth a visit

Another hidden gem in lovely Leitrim. I have been here many times and it continues to be a beautiful landmark in unspoilt countryside

I had never heard of Glencar Waterfall until a few months ago, but upon seeing it, I knew I would have to visit here again. The path to the waterfall was long and a bit slippery, but it was well worth the walk. The waterfall itself draws a visitor in, creating a remarkable sense of peace and serenity. The whole area is founded in natural wonders, with many trees and plants growing all around. It is a place verdant and growing with life, and I truly think this may be one of the loveliest- and most peaceful- places I have ever seen.

The Glencar Waterfall is a well maintained and accessible little trail up to a lovely little waterfall. The scenery all around is nice too as you have swans on the Glencar Lake amidst the mountains and the sheep resting in the shade of the trees.

Glencar is a mighty waterfall and well worth a visit. what is impressive is the manner in which it has been developed as a Tourism attraction, superb parking, paths, bridges and steps. Of special note are the toilets for visitors, the condition of which must be complimented.

Such a beautiful and serene place. The waterfall is a short, easy walk along a path, mostly flat until a short cut staircase to the side of the waterfall.
The water is hypnotic and with the roar of the falling water, it's so tranquil if that's not too much of a contradiction.
There's a car park by the lakeside with a coffee shop before you cross the road and follow the stream back to the waterfall.
Completely free to enter, a lovely place to visit.

A lovely cafe but sadly can't walk dogs we met multiple responsible owners with dogs on leads and poo bags but no access. Sad that we can't visit this beautiful place, can't leave dog in hot car so it was disappointing
