Well worth a 30 minute visit! This venue is very popular with 'Brides and Grooms' and 'Holy Communion Children'. (Photo. opportunities) There is free access and it isn't difficult to navigate.

The site was well-marked, with a paved car park next to a pasture full of ewes and newborn lambs and a lough beyond. The waterfall itself was pretty but not impressive, with water tumbling 50 feet into a fern-lined pool and thence into a rollicking...More

Well worth a visit. Fabulous scenery and a beautiful area to walk around. A clean but small children's play area. If you're into breathtaking views...this is the place.

About an hour. Take the N4 (main road) to Sligo and its another 15 mins or so up from there.
Hi Orla - I am 66 years old and would love to see the Glencar Waterfalls. Is there a lot of walking involved to get there? I can't walk "miles" !

No Cathy, it's really close to the carpark and the few steps are wide and levelled. You'll love it there.
Is the waterfall accessible with a pram? We have a 6 month old baby. Are there any steps?

You can get up close to the waterfall with a pram. There are steps at the top if you want to get very close but you can see all you need to see without climbing the steps
