Great example of a well maintained old ruins in a graveyard at Kilbannon near Tuam. With a look if you are in the area. Easy to find.

This is an out of the way church ruin which we enjoyed photographing. The tower is very nice and along with the church ruins makes a nice photo if you proceed through the gate and go out into the field to take the photo.

Historic ruins of the Church of St Benen, dating back to the 5th century. Located three km north of Tuam. This was the once mother church of the Archdiocese of Tuam and older than Tuam itself. Now part of a small local cemetery.
