Very pleasant 3 hours, skipper Jerry Smith was most accommodating and knowledgeable. Also very very keen on us seeing whales. The booking process was flawless, received prompt & detailed replies. Highly recommendable!

Honestly one of the best touristy things we’ve done and one of the best views we’ve ever seen in Ireland. The picture speaks for itself. Rianne and Gerry are gems, we’re lucky to have spent the evening with them on their boat, Wave Chieftan. Thanks so much!

Thank you so much for your kind words - we love our area with both increditble sea and landscapes visible from the boat and the Fastnet is iconic in size, location and pure beauty particularly on a sunny evening with a stunning sunset. Do come and visit us again. Kind regards Rianne

Jerry is a lovely friendly skipper who explains the safety details of the boat, wave chieftain, precisely but briefly, suitable safety information for the novice. We were hoping to see whales and dolphins but went out on the trip on this gorgeous sunny morning just looking forward to a boat ride & sea views. To our great joy we saw minke whale frolicking just meters from the boat. Jerry manovered the boat in such a way that we had a clear birds eye view over the side of the boat of the white flash on their pectoral fin. Really great, if brief experience, just wish we had seen more. We thoroughly recommend going out with Jerry to soak up the glorious views, feel fresh sea air on your skin & if your really lucky see whales and dolphins.

While exploring southern Ireland with my family I was desperate to get myself into the sea and found an Aquaventures leaflet in a tourist office. I got in contact on friday and managed to get a snorkelling tour booked for sunday. On the tour i was taken around Lough Hyne and saw a bunch of the local marine life which was pointed our guide. The quality of the tour would heavily depend on the weather but i was lucky and was made to feel very welcome, and was given squash and biscuits after the session which went down perfectly. NOTE: TRY BOOK 4 OR MORE PEOPLE Bigger groups mean better tours, I was lucky as just one person as another family had also booked on the day, but bigger groups mean better tours, with tours or 8 or more adding the possibility of using the boat to go out to sea a little more. A great opportunity that would be wrong to miss.

Thanks Ollie for your review and the details you gave in it which hopefully will bring others to come snorkelling with us. The rapids in Lough Hyne are of course a unique location / experience and our timings was perfect. Thanks again. Rianne
