Several issues with our tour - first, the bus did not arrive on time and we walked way out of the way trying to find the bus, as the ship couldn’t tell us where the bus would be. Then we waited almost an hour (the ad was specific that we’d only wait 30 minutes after scheduled departure time) for people who never showed up. By then everyone was telling the guide to Go! Next, the tour guide decided to stop by and pick up some people waiting on the corner to go to the Blarney Castle - complimentary for them of course. The tour guide asked us if it was okay to pick them up, and everyone shouted No! But he stopped anyway! All the time we spent on the guide’s interest in “being a nice guy” (according to him) caused us wasted time in the line at the Blarney Stone - as it was getting longer and longer. Then when we left Blarney, some of the complimentary passengers were late. So of course we waited a bit, then he saw them walking about 5 to 10 minutes from the pickup location- so he stopped for the bus to let them catch up and pick them up. During the trip the guide gave us a history lesson and told a bunch of bad jokes. He asked passengers for jokes, but I doubt many were listening by then. I’m sorry to say, this was the worst tour we had on our entire cruise. I was embarrassed because I was the one who suggested this tour to our group. I doubt I’ll ever use Bulter Tours again. 🙁
