Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This place is easy to find and easy to access. There isn't a lot of information about the site but it's an interesting place and enormously photogenic.

We are visited the stonecircle on our visit on Beara peninsula and for everyone who is interested in megalitic thombs its a must. Its easy to access from the road and a tiny chance to park at the other side of the road. We went with 3 young kids and not a problem.

As a visitor it was good to go for a walk and see the stones. Easy to find and to get too. Remember to close the gate.

The stone circles and other archaelogical wonders on the Ring of Beara are stunning, this was no exception. There is so much history in the peninsula.

If staying in Castletownbere, this is a lovely walk from the village. Very peaceful place to while away a quiet few minutes.

Special Bronze age stone circle just outside the town of Castletownbere. A little hard to find: as you leave town heading toward Dursey Island, there is a small sign on your right. Small pullover with ribbons on bush branches as a marker just before it on your left; otherwise, no place to park.

Of all the stone circles that we visited in Kerry and Cork, this one was the best. It is located in a farmer's field with a short walk. It does not have manicured lawns like the Kenmare stone circle. When you visit Derreenataggart you feel the history and that this is truly a magical, mystical place. We had the site all to ourselves and could picture the ancient Druids' presence. Well worth the visit!

Stonecircle lying in the midst of a field where cows graze. Easy to acces . The road towards this place is narrow.
