Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Don provides a top-notch service which outshines other bike hire providers in the area.
My partner and I were able to hire a bike from him for a day; Don made picking up the bike very easy and efficient. When we had an accident affecting one of the bikes he was there immediately to help us.
I've hired bicycles from many providers along the south coast of Ireland and his is hands down the best.

Our group of four ( women) had a fabulous trip exploring the Wild Atlantic Way.
Having traveled on a few guided bike tours we were very impressed with the organization and itinerary that is offered by Cycle West Cork. The scenery is magnificent and the character and friendliness of the people cannot be captured in a brochure. Our guide and Promotor, Don Davis was a first class gentleman and was truly amazing (with GREAT help from his son Kevin) in managing all the logistics with apparent ease. His customer service is second to none; accommodating our whimsical wishes and keeping in step with a pace we all enjoyed. Throughout the tour he revealed his own charm and humour while providing the much enjoyed back stories on the sites, culture and phenomenal history that is Southern Ireland. We have already highly recommended this tour !Carol Buchanan, Sharon Brundige, Denise Hicks and Pam Stonehouse

Just back from a 5 Day Self-Led Tour in West Cork. It was perfect.
Customer service:
Don tailored the distance to suit our ability and was always available in the background - absolute gent. He has an in-depth local knowledge of routes & attractions. Don goes above and beyond what you expect of him to make the holiday a really enjoyable experience. 100% value for money.
Nature:
West Cork is so unspoiled and tranquil - rolling lush green hills, streams running beside every road, birds and animals everywhere, not to mention the beaches and the sea. Bring the camera!
Food:
Artisan food everywhere. Fish straight from the sea.
Accommodation:
Slept very well each night. Casey's in Baltimore is a top notch family run hotel.

In summary, it was class!

I am a total convert to the electric bike! I used to think it was for lazy people. Now I know it is for people who want to cover lots of ground but not be stuck in a car. Travelling on foot or bike means you can smell the fresh air, stop to soak up the views, or just SLOW DOWN - which lets face it, it what holidays are all about. Being on an electric bike means that instead of look at that beach at the bottom of a hill, you say let's go! It's a means to taking the road less travelled. Brilliant.

Don from West Cork Cycling couldn't have been more accommodating. He altered routes to suit me, came to meet me in Glengariff, which was quite a way from Skibbereen and was a charming and fin guide. I'd really recommend hiring one of Don's bikes or taking a tour with him.

An avid cycler, I was surprised when 20 Americans I was traveling with who don't bike regularly signed up to cycle from Skibberean to Baltimore. Regardless of the cycling skill, Don and Garry patiently instructed and led us from amazing site to site. Adding historian Philip to the ride made our cycle tour unforgettable. Bikes, visibility vests and helmets were all in great condition. Thanks to Magellan in the SAG, an awesome day was had by all. Whether you are looking to get some miles in around West Cork or take a relaxed pace tour, Don and Cycle Wset Cork is the way to go!

For our Ireland cycle tour we booked 3 hybrid bikes, DON is a really lovely and funny guy, the bikes were proper, the service excellent, Don picked us up in Cork City, drove us and the bikes to Bantry (where we started our tour), showed us a lot of nice places and scenery on the way and picked us up again in Killarney (where our tour ended), the rates for all that were really fair too!

So, anytime again, Don!

Kindest Regards

Completed a 4 day self guided trip from Kinsale to Mizen Head. Absolutely stunning scenery, food and hospitality. Couldn’t speak highly enough of Don. As the legs tired and my itinerary changed!! Don was extremely flexible in rearranging pick ups etc. Would highly recommend Don & “Cycle West Cork” to anyone interested in seeing this beautiful part of the country.

Two of us ( my husband & myself) bicycled during last week ( mid May) starting in Kinsale and going north Wild Atlantic Way along the coast up to and including Sheep’s Head Peninsula. We were spoiled all the way not only by beautiful sunny days, good, pushing winds but most of all a breathtaking scenery!! Hard to compare to anything we have seen before! Cliffs meeting ocean, long sandy beaches, enchanted forests.
We highly recommend West Cork Cycling Company.
Great organization ( good hotels with tasty seafood) and clear instructions. It was a real pleasure to meet Don , who is so informative and knowledgeable about the region and has such warm, friendly attitude towards any possible changes on the go.
In short we fell in love with Ireland, and we never expected this would be such a great country for cycling!
Thank you Don for doing such a great job to make our time in Cork really unforgettable!
With respect,
Bozena &Roman

While travelling along the South Coast of Cork we came across a sign to Drombeg Stone Circle. The road is narrow and picturesque and the surrounding nature is beautiful. Dating back to the late bronze age period, Drombeg is an example of a recumbent stone circle where the 17 freestanding stones are symmetrically arranged so that one stone (the axial or recumbent stone) is directly opposite a pair of (portal) tall stones. Really worthwhile to visit this historical site if one has a little spare time.
