Sit on the terrace here, gazing out over green fields and the sea view, eating homemade ice cream produced from the milk of the Daly’s pedigree herd of Fresians, it’s hard to imagine feeling better. This is happiness in a double whammy cornet full!

Weird experience with owner. My wife and I and our 3 boys went in one afternoon recently on a hot day. The boys went to the corner booth in an almost empty place and sat down waiting for us to return with the frozen treats. The owner says, wow lots of Americans in today. I nodded and agreed that was probably true, but asked what gave us away. He replied, your manners and then proceeded to compare us to a jerry springer show. Now I get it, you don't know me, and we all know that sometimes we Americans do have a reputation, but apart from our tired overheated kids a bit excited about ice cream we are a super reserved bunch with what we believe are good manners with constant please and thank yous and trying to helpful and never in the way. I have no idea what rubbed this gentleman the wrong way or if he just didn't like Americans, but whatever we did was no worse than the way he treated us and how long my wife perseverated on this. The ice cream wasn't bad but the experience was more than unpleasant. Definitely not worth an extra stop, just grab ice cream treats from any other stop along your way and skip this stop, you aren't missing anything.

This is a great example of artisan produce. Fantastic home-made ice cream in the most beautiful location!

Gorgeous ice cream, served by a really friendly lady. The icecream really was delicious. It is pricey but worth every penny for the quality. Far superior to Murphys ice cream in both taste and value for money. Absolutely, loved that the dairy where the milk comes from is right beside the little ice cream shop.

Unbelievably good ice cream. Honestly, as good as I have had anywhere. It is expensive at €5.50 for two scoops but it is so worth it. Well done to them.

Ice Cream was lovely but very expensive at 2.80 a scoop. The lady(looks like the owner wife from the pictures)who served us was not very nice. There were 3 of us and she told the other lady behind the counter to start counting. Not very professional. Customer service needs a lot of work. Won't be going back to give her 2.80 for a scoop of ice cream. It will probably be gone up another 10cent. It costs nothing to be nice.

Small farm selling homemade ice cream. The icecream is really good and I loved it. The place was basic but clean and it is a family run, the teenagers behind the counter very friendly and good with local knowledge etc. Very pleasant stop off

Excellent home made ice-cream, and friendly staff. €2.80 for one scoop which is a little pricey when let's face it nobody ever buys just one scoop. The family of 5 bill came to almost €40, but that's because we went back for more 😁

OMG, this ice-cream is incredible! We cycled (family of 5) from Cahersiveen, took the ferry across to Valentia Island, and headed up the hill to this place. It was so worth the trip. SO much so, a few days later, we were back for more!

The ice cream here is so delicious! Lots of different flavours, I had rum & raisin and caramel, my husband had cookies & cream and chocolate. Huge portion sizes and reasonably priced! A good reason to schedule a return island visit!

Back in Killarney, my fiance and I had two very enthusiastic votes for Valentia Island as a destination along the Ring of Kerry. Once we got there though (by ferry), we weren't sure where to go next. However, we saw a sign for ice cream and I'm so glad that was our first stop!

First off, the ice cream was fantastic. I got a honeycomb that wasn't too sweet and just perfect while my fiance got a mint chocolate chip that was wonderfully refreshing. Not only was the ice cream good, but the owner was so helpful in helping us design a quick itinerary of go to spots on Valentia Island - all the best stops for the scenic views and interesting things to see. So glad we caught them on their last day of the season!

Hope to be back at some point in the future!
