We visited by car. There are three car parks with plenty of information boards and fabulous 360 degree views. At each park there is a short walk to a viewpoint. This is the highest point on Valentia. Well worth a visit.

Visited during Easter , best part of our holiday so far! Was able to drive to the top and the trails allowed for easy walking. Led to the most amazing views! Extremely informative plaques which allowed us to further understand the history and nature of the area. Would definitely recommend a visit, well worth the 6 euro and complete bargain for the amazing experience and excellent facilities available. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Beautiful views of the area. Can drive right to the top (literally). So all abilities can enjoy the views. Also different trails for thirds who would like a longer walk. Signposts of history on rocks for people to read. Easy access by car over to Valentina island from portmagee. Recommended for anyone visiting portmagee

Absolutely fabulous place. Worth every penny of the paltry €6 charged. That you can drive to the top is wonderful for those less able bodied or like me, wrecked from walking all day. Make it a must do on your trip to Valentia.

I have visited this location twice. The first time the views from the top were magnificent and would deserve a top rating. However I am down rating it because of my second visit here. I was pressurised by a friend to bring them to Geokaun after hearing my opinion on the location. They were only available to visit with me on a day that the weather wasn't very good. Despite my reservations they were adamant that they wanted to go and hoped that the weather would improve before we got there...it didn't. As we had driven a long way to get there, they insisted on paying their €6 and up we went. It was a wasted drive and we could hardly see one another, never mind the panoramic views which I had vividly described to my guests after my original visit here. We came down immediately. So a word of warning, don't bother calling here if visibility is poor as they will take your money and won't advise you to give it a miss. Business is business I'm afraid!

For sheer beauty, this knocks the Cliff of Moher for 6 in my book.On a fine day, this is a stunner of a place with wonderful views. The Cliffs are superb, really wow. Then the upper car park has the big landscape view over the Ring of Kerry and Dingle.Classic view and one of THE best in the whole area.We were a little underwhelmed with quite a lot of the Ring of Kerry scenery but this (not technically on the Ring) makes up for it in spades.Well worth the 5 euro charge per car.The walking tracks looked lovely too and with the mini 'sky walk' over the cliffs, the whole thing has bee very well done.

We love climbing hills/mountains, but when there is a car park at the top we thought we should make the use of it and save our legs for Brae Head Walk.
The views are amazing I obviously preferred the top to the cliffs. The info at the top is really good to ensure you know what you are looking at and get a little history of the island too.
