Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellent tour from Muiris. Really enjoyable and good value. Helped us see all the key sites and also put a smile on our faces.

This tour and Muiris driver/guide in particular deserve much more than 5 stars. To us he was our driver/guide taking us around explaining the highlights of Valentia, but more so Muiris was like an older brother looking out for us when we took the Skellig Michael boat trip. He's the best, most caring person ever, a lovely young man and a credit to Valentia.

We took this tour with our teen aged grandson. Anyone travelling with a teenager knows how difficult it can be to hold their interest in anything other than cell phones. Well, Muiris went out of his way to be sure that we all found this tour interesting, including our teenager. We went to the slate quarry, ogham stone, an unmarked burial ground, and saw the tetrapod tracks. Muiris was so interesting and knowledgeable about this beautiful part of Ireland. He even went out of his way to try and help us locate a particular brand of Irish liquor we had been hunting for. All in all I would say this tour was well worth every penny and it made our trip so much more memorable. We will definitely be recommending this tour to everyone. Thanks to Muiris for his kindness and outstanding tour. We will always remember this fondly.

Muiris is a driver guide who will design a tour to your exact specification on the spot. His tours are ideal for those who do not have a car or who want to travel in comfort. We would not have seen as much as we did if we had to cycle or walk. The tour of the Skellig Ring was an excellent four hour tour. Muiris knows the area very well and he packs as much into the tour as he can for his clients. He wants you to see as much as you can on his tour. We started at 10.00am (bang on time) from our Bed and Breakfast. There were other people in the van but that added to the good company and fun we had on the tour. Not only could he handle the roads and the on coming traffic but six women as well: American, Swedish, German and A Dub. No sweat.

We went straight to the highest point first (as we had good weather and the view depends on the weather, good thinking Muiris). We then went to see the "Tetrapod" footprints. A Tetrapod is a million year old lizard with little feet from Kerry. Worth a photograph. Then Muiris brought us to a Famine Village which was stunning and the light house in the distance. As there were six women in the van Muiris thought we were getting a bit cranky so he brought us to a chocolate factory to taste as much chocolate as we could eat. We did. The coffee was great too. We had a blast of a day. The photographs were amazing and we did it with a lot of laughing, love and comfort. I recommend him because he went out of his way to make sure we saw as much as there was to see and he was great fun. Book him, he also sings.

See Muiris, I'm still trying my Irish! We really enjoyed our time with Muiris, maybe the friendliest person we met in Ireland! He was very accommodating as the main object of our trip was to visit Skellig Michael (read Star War nerds). and he kept in touch with us and rescheduled us when our first Skellig boat trip was cancelled due to weather. He is a true character and my 21-year-old son really enjoyed him, especially when they ganged up on me when I tried some Irish words (Muiris is a native speaker!)

My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our day of touring Dingle and the Slea Head Drive with Muiris. Muiris was very accommodating-letting us decide which activities to spend time on and which sites to stop and see. He was attentive, always near by to answer questions and make recommendations. He also was a great picture-taker, making sure we returned home with many memories of our fun day together!

Outstanding tour of little visited but historically significant sites on the western end of the Kerry Peninsula. Visited pre-historic, pre-Christian, early Christian, and early-Industrial Age sites. Tour guide did the driving and had wealth of knowledge and engaging style. Also stopped at numerous photo-op sites that gave a great sense of the geography and developmental history of the area.

We booked a tour, “Skellig Coast Stories told in Stone” with Muiris Walsh during our stay in Portmagee. Muiris picked us up from our lodging and took us all around the area, showing us interesting sights we would have never found on our own. We were entertained and enjoyed the tour very much. We highly recommend!

Muiris Walsh gets you from the bus stop to your accomodation and back, will guide you from one historic site to another, takes a boat with you to a desert island, gets out of his way to get your rental bike back to the bike shop, even though you are in the middle of a tour, and he does all of that with lots of humour and impressive knowledge. Ask him about a certain Wookiee ;-).

I arrived at Kerry airport missing every chance to get public transportation and I don't drive. The bed & breakfast Ferryview recomended me this company and Muiris came to pick me up, he drove me all the way to Cahwrsiveen, helped me with bicycle reservations out of business time so I could get it anyways. Next day He drove me to the pier to take a boat trip, then he took me to Killarney.
The service was exeptional, very professional, helpful, friendly.
Completely recommendable!
