The whole Kerry Experience was seamless, from emailing with Esther to create the perfect itinerary to riding around with Gerrit to discover the beautiful Beara peninsula. Esther worked with me on our budget and helped design a day and a half itinerary of beautiful scenery, historical stops, and some of our must sees. Her husband Gerrit, picked us from our B&B in Kenmare and adapted the day for the weather, our interests, and included some of his favorite spots along the way. In between stops and amazing scenery, Gerrit shared stories of his time Ireland, made jokes, talked politics, and of course, taught us the history of the land. He had just the right mix of giving us our space at some stops and coming along with us to explore stone circles and a traditional farmhouse with poitin tasting. Kerry Experience does tours all over Ireland and I wouldn't hesitate to travel with them again when we return.

We booked the private 'Undiscovered Ring of Kerry' tour in January 2022 for one day. Ester was our guide. It was a fabulous journey! Firstly, the communication with Ester through mails or in person was absolutely seamless. She made us feel accommodated and welcomed at all times, always considering our opinions and requests. Ester was extremely kind! We chatted all the way along the Ring making it one of our most memorable trips in Ireland. She was knowledgeable about the area and had some funny anecdotes to share! It was a pleasure to meet her! She went above and beyond in helping us out.. thanks a million for that!

The touring van was spacious and clean maintained at a comfortable temperature. The tour was timed perfectly to accommodate breaks and stops at stunning view points for some photography. The best part about this tour is the flexibility it offers. Ester gives you an opportunity and more importantly listens, to pick your favourite spots or pass time or how you really want to take this tour.. Ester herself knows the area very well and she definitely showed us loads of stunning landscapes.. there is a quick orientation of the tour in the beginning, after which its just a wonderful drive all day..

I would definitely recommend this tour to first timers in Ireland or even people who live locally. It is really off the beaten path.

Thanks Ester for a memorable weekend.

My family finally got to take our anticipated trip to Ireland in June/July 2022 after having to reschedule the trip two times due to the pandemic. There were 6 of us total (mom, dad, 10 & 14 year old boys and grandparents). Ester was a dream to work with from start to finish! By the time we arrived in Ireland, I had known her for almost 3 years due to the numerous emails we sent back and forth to reschedule our tour. No matter what time of day, Ester always responded within 24-48 hours. She was also extremely flexible with our tour plan and always had suggestions to make the most of our visit.

We were in Ireland for two weeks, the second full week being with Ester. I can undoubtedly tell you she made our trip to Ireland. She's so friendly and easy to be with for an extended period of time. Even though we thought we had our tour plan solidified, we ended up making changes during the week due to weather. This was not a problem and Ester easily rescheduled our activities to meet our needs.

Ester helped arrange a once in a lifetime falconry experience for our family. She also took us on several day trips, one to Kinsale for shopping and the other to Cobh for a private speedboat tour. Additionally, she led an all day tour of the lesser known and most stunning areas during our Ring of Kerry tour. She took us to places that were off the beaten path and, frankly, that larger tour buses can't even navigate to because of the narrow roads. One of the stops was a relaxing picnic lunch on the coastline, something that felt really special and tailored to a family.

My favorite day was our visit to the Cliffs of Moher. While grandma and our boys stayed with Ester, my husband and I hiked for 2.5 hours from the Cliffs to Doolin. We wouldn't have done this if Ester hadn't recommended and boy are we glad we listened to her advice. Words cannot describe the experience of hiking along the Cliffs for two miles. This was the highlight of the Ireland trip for me and Ester was waiting at the end of the trail for us, which was such a dream.

Since this was a multi-generational trip and we wanted a special way to capture our memories, I inquired about a professional photo shoot. Ester researched several options for me and scheduled a session for our family at Ross Castle and Muckross House. The photographer was very easy going and had a great eye. We're so grateful to have professional photos to remember our Ireland trip. This experience wouldn't have been possible without Ester's assistance.

One word of advice. Do not rent a car and drive in Ireland if you want to have a true vacation. We're from Colorado and would not have felt comfortable driving on the roads. We always felt really safe with Ester driving and she told many great stories along the road. We also wouldn't have learned nearly as much about Irish history and culture had we opted to drive on our own. Do yourself a favor and hire Kerry Experience Tours - you will not be disappointed!

3 of us had the pleasure and blessing of having Ester as our tour guide and driver for 9 days. We had a delightful time exploring a wide variety of ancient sites including Glendalough, Rock of Cashel, Kilkenny Castle, Blarney, Ring of Kerry, Dingle, Bunratty Castle and the Cliffs of Moher. Ester was amazing adapting our plans so we could experience an incredible rainy afternoon with the Birds of Prey. Another highlight was hiking and exploring the Cliffs of Moher in the blinding rain and wind but enjoyed a break from the rain as we ventured through the Burren. Ester's knowledge and warm personality are gifts that she shares with you. She has wonderful recommendations on what to see, do and eat. Dining together, laughing and singing in the van, navigating castle steps in the heavy rain, tasting chocolates and enjoying drinks in a pub or two are all memories that will last a lifetime thanks to Ester. Who else would decorate the travel van with birthday balloons and navigate the wild and scenic Irish countryside with a smile and story all at once?

My Mom was coming over from Canada to visit me in Dublin. We wanted to spend a bit of time exploring County Kerry. I found Kerry Experience Tours online and got in touch with the company. Ester organised everything for us! She made up an itinerary that aligned perfectly with what we wanted to see most, as well as arranged for us to stay in a lovely B+B. She was a fantastic tour guide! We learned so much about the history of the area as we drove the Ring of Kerry on Saturday and around the Dingle Peninsula on Sunday. She took us to many sites that you would not get to see were you to visit the area as part of a big tour on a bus. Because it was just us, we were able to take extra time in certain parts of the tour or skip over things that we were less keen on. My mom and I had an amazing time. I am so glad we went with this private tour option.
The car was exceptionally clean and the communication with Ester was very timely.
I would recommend this tour company to anyone who wants to see County Kerry, and would most certainly use Kerry Experience Tours again in the future!

Excellent ring of Kerry tour with Esther - even if it rained the whole time! Unfortunately this day was the one bad weather day we had our whole trip but our day with Esther was still lovely. She was a joy to talk to - like visiting a friend you had not seen in years.

She picked us up at our hotel and then off we went into the rain, she took a us to castles, to hold a lamb!!!, on the ferry to Valentia Island and around the Skellig Ring. We stopped at Skellig Chocolates and other areas closer to the beach where she knew we would have better views.

Even though the weather didn’t cooperate, we had a wonderful day. The tour was very reasonably priced and we liked using a local company. The communication was fantastic. I would absolutely recommend that you use Kerry Experience Tours for any of your trips in Ireland!

We (my wife, our two teenagers, and I) took the Undiscovered Ring of Kerry tour on our first full day of a two week family vacation in Ireland to familiarize ourselves with the country, and we are so glad we did. Gerrit is awesome! He has an unique perspective, which we all appreciated hearing. He also went out of his way to personalize our experience, including meeting us at our AirBNB, which was pretty far off the beaten path. He asked questions about our interests and modified the trip according to our answers. He really made us feel special! We saw so much that day, but we all wished that we had more time with Gerrit at the end of the journey. If you are considering doing this, you absolutely should!

Thank you so much for providing my cousins and me with such a wonderful visit to the Beara Peninsula. After researching my Irish family origins, I deeply appreciate the tailored tour that Ester created for us so that we could see the churches where our great grandparents were baptized and married, and visit Gleninchaquin, a stunningly beautiful place where they once lived and worked.

Ester was a wonderful guide with a broad knowledge of the history of Beara—I knew nothing about the copper mines there! And, in addition to the sites that I requested, she added some of the best that the area has to offer to our itinerary: the charming coastal roads, Eyries, and Healy Pass. But I think we all had the best time at MacCarthy's in Castletownbere. I would recommend this to anyone who really wants to experience an authentic Irish pub!

Meeting Ester was like finding an old friend in Ireland—she's so warm, and friendly, and fun to be with! We just loved spending the day with her.

My extended family of 12 recently spent a week in Ireland with our very capable driver and guide in a very nice van. Gerrit made sure we had a great tour and the sights and scenes he brought to us will long be cherished memories. Kerry Experience Tours is a very dependable way to see the country of Ireland.

We had a wonderful driving tour “off the beaten path” of the Ring of Kerry with Gerrit from Kerry Experience Tours. He filled the trip with interesting facts and historical context, was flexible, stopping where we wanted and making great suggestions to make sure we got what we wanted from the tour. It was a beautiful and well-spent day. We even were treated to a great playlist of Irish music (at our request) periodically along the way. And a chocolate tasting after a delicious stop for lunch! He gave us some perfect suggestions for the route we were taking after leaving Killarney. We had a great day trip with Kerry Experience Tours and would totally recommend their services, whether for a day trip or multiple day trip.
