Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stopped at Rossbeigh Beach at the right time. The tide was out, so, there was plenty of sand to walk on. I can imagine that there is not much beach to enjoy during high tide. There is ample parking and the facilities at the entrance to the beach are well-maintained.

The setting is lovely but the beach is a bit underwhelming as there is not much dry sand to set up on (at least where we were at the start) and quite rocky. A fair few dodgy characters about the place. A nice play park and a few places to grab chips, beer too.

Stayed in an excellent Airbnb overlooking Rossbiegh Strand and the estuary for a week. The beach is very long, with huge sand dunes backing onto it, the estuary on the other side of the dunes. The sea goes out a long way at low tide, sandy and shallow waters that are good for swimming and building sandcastles. As other people have said keep an eye out for the tide as it does cover the beach at high tide.
Water temperature was pretty good for early July, there was the occasional jellyfish so wet suits might be useful. There is a life guarded area for families.
Sunsets over the bay and estuary, which fills in over the evening, were spectacular over the hills and mountains opposite. Loved watching the changes of light and the low lying clouds blanket, or pass over the the mountains.
It was not very crowded in early July, dont know what it will be like in school holidays.
There is a restaurant/cafe and a fast food outlet but we didn't use those.
If you get the opportunity go off the main track and explore the valleys behind Glenbeigh - nice walking around Coomasaharn lake - had a happy day trying to find neolithic rock art in the hills there. Some we found, some we could not. Be aware some rock art is on private land but we had no problems getting permission from local people.

The weather was overcast but the beach is nice.
The most exciting part is to come there from Ring of Kerry from up to down. The view was amazing!

I’ve been to a lot of beaches but this one has one of the best backdrops ever. If you find a spot on the top of the dunes there is endless photo ops. Everytime I’ve been there the weather has been amazing, so maybe rose tinted glasses but definitely a beach to visit. Park further down towards the dunes and then start your walk from there

2021 and lots of jelly fish around .kids refused to swim in it .no access to motor homes as a barrier prevents entry to parking.nice dog walk if you have dogs.kept clean by kerry county council.you would want to arrive when the tide is fully out as there is not alot of sand when it comes in quick .there are concrete pathways down onto the beach.nice restaurant on the beach front with good food.also one shop during the season which is open.some people camp near the dunes in tents.disabled parking is also on the beachfront for blue badge holders.big playground across from beach.

The beach is lovely, check the tides because at high tide there is very little sand to stand on. At low or ebbing tides the beach is amazing and great for swimming.
