We had planned a family trip to Ireland in July 2020 to celebrate our 50th anniversary. Jean at GoVisitIreland was very helpful in setting up what was to be the trip of a lifetime for us, but because of the coronavirus pandemic we were not able to take that trip. Jean is very knowledgeable about her beautiful country and after asking us what we hoped to see and do while there, assisted us by tailoring a trip which included tours, hotels, and a personal driver/guide service to meet those hopes. Jean was a pleasure to work with as she accepted ALL our questions and responded to them in a timely manner. We were disappointed, of course, that we could not take that trip, but when we are ready to once again plan to travel to Ireland we will not hesitate to reach out to Jean and her colleagues at GoVisitIreland for their services.

Thank you so much Go Ireland for being very flexible and helpful with me during this trip. I absolutely loved the The Kerry Walk ...I was only able to attend two hikes...Glenbeigh to Glencar and then Kenmare to Killarney, but they were Spectacular! Our guide Dan was incredible and the B & B's we stayed were perfect! I so appreciate all of your help in planning and accepting stressed e-mails from me at the last minute. All was perfect...just perfect! Will be back soon...

My husband and I, by far the oldest walkers in our congenial group of 10, went on the 7 day Dingle Peninsula guided walking tour last June 27. Led by the cheerful and intrepid Ulrich Arnig (armed with map and compass when the weather became lively), the hikes were challenging, varied, exciting, and spectacularly scenic, usually culminated with a celebratory beer at a conveniently located pub, seemingly in the middle of nowhere. The Dingle Skellig hotel is luxurious, cosy, and friendly with excellent food, and best of all, it is located just about a 10 minute walk from Dingle town, with its many fine pubs where excellent trad sessions are always happening. Go Visit Ireland delivered on every promise, and at a very reasonable price. Now if only we could experience this trip again for the first time.

We wanted a week hiking , biking and exploring before a family wedding in Ireland and was thrilled to find Go Visit Ireland
I started looking and conversing with Jean 6 months prior to week of tour and was amazed to find a helpful email to answer any oddball question and to help me figure out all the logistics.
We ended up being the only two people in late September with this off schedule tour and were entirely pleased with
Our BnB ,our guide ,the location and the level of activity. We are fit Alaskans and were hoping for some reasonable challenges and our guide Colm Casey was excellent. Every day was a new adventure , every day we were asking ourselves if we could have planned all this ourselves and had this much fun and it was always a pleasure to pass on the wild driving, to be taken to really crazy remote spots, wild weather , wonderful people , rain and wind and hurricanes and then sun, and always green . We recommend this company very highly and would love to come back.

We did a week long hike of the Dingle Peninsula in July 2015. Our group of 10 (five Australians and five Americans) had a fun and fabulous time to exploring this magnificent part of the world with our intrepid guide, Ulrich. The six daily hikes varied from moderate to challenging and all involved spectacular scenery, interesting history and congenial company as my fellow walker Judith has noted. Dingle is a must see town, our hotel was very comfortable offering fine food and drink and Go Visit Ireland's organisation was first class.

I stayed in this quaint, Irish town for a wedding recently. Lots of local businesses, restaurants and the wonderful B&B, Coffey's River's Edge. Big shout out to the owner of the key/toy shop who called a taxi for me to attend the church service in Milltown. Nice plaza in the middle of the town, too. Cute shops including a Eurospar supermarket, a textiles shop and a stationery shop. The bridge and the river are a lovely sight too. Wonderful small town full of Irish hospitality, a place where the locals have time for you.

I'm not really into holidays where we lounge by a pool all day. Having said that I'm no athlete either, but I do like to move around. I saw that Go Visit Ireland offered hikes for all levels so I signed up for the moderate Ring of Kerry walks. Moderate is not easy, but it is very doable if you have a reasonable level of fitness. Perfect for me. This was my first solo holiday so it was pretty daunting at first. Go Visit Ireland made it so easy and I cannot fault their organisation at all. All I had to do is turn up on the day. Everything was just right, accommodation on point, communications friendly and they responded quickly to my questions.
I must say it is hard to beat a holiday where days consist of walking over misty hills, into ancient woods, skirting loughs and farms - just taking in all of mother nature's magnificent architecture. Ireland's human history was also on show, from her first peoples to invasions to famines to the troubles - evidence of it all as we walked that beautiful country. All this with the added bonus of great company and a knowledgeable guide. Our guide Dan was fantastic, he knows the lay of the land like the back of his hands, and literally used his hand to explain to us where things were - "fingers of Kerry". My evenings dining with new friends and listening to live trad music at local pubs was the icing, or the cherry - both actually.
If you want to see what most people will not see on a holiday in Ireland, then this is one way to do it. My only advice is to make sure to pack a pair of waterproof pants - sometimes it rains - a lot.

Kerry one year and Burren/Aran Islands/Connemara another. Both fantastic. The guides knew exactly where and when to go. We got to see places that you can't get to any other way than hiking/walking. Accommodations and food were very good. The great thing is that the groups are mostly like-minded travelers -- enjoy a great walk in the outdoors, love exploring new places and cultures, love a bit of history. Note that our trips were not recent, but "the form" only included recent dates. Nonetheless, our experience was overwhelmingly positive.

Have now taken part on6 trips with "Go Visit Ireland".
Ring of Kerry twice, Dingle Peninsula twice, Baerra Peninsula, Connemara and Donegal.
Going back again with 5 friends this year and will cycle the Dingle again.
Easy to book and Jean/Tracey always very helpful. they manage to find gems of B&Bs. The bikes from Sullivan's are OK.
A week cycling with this organization is like a months convalescence!!!! Will carry on going until I can no longer cycle!!!!!
