As a visitor in Ireland and heading to this bar, I was stared at and it felt very unwelcoming. Thank good the band "Switch" we're playing and rocked the place. Other than this, I wouldn't recommend it to other tourists unless you were with a group of Irish!

Good Bar with friendly staff. Some very good music at the weekends. Ideal bar to watch sporting events.

Best thing about Shannon Knights is Damian in the restaurant. Best Host! Wonderful with diners. He was lovely. Visiting Shannon to see friends.

Best avoid if possible. Fine in the daytime for food etc. but in terms of nightlife It's a shame there aren't more options for people in the area. A refurbishment doesn't go far in changing the problems with this place including some rough clientele. If you do find yourself socialising here be cautious and consider paying the taxi fare as far as Ennis, Bunratty or Limerick. You will have a better /safer night.

I have been happily eating at the Shannon Knights for years. Recent banking issues have apparently led to a change in ownership. I should be clear, I have no idea why and I don't really care. What I do know is that the quality of the food has figuratively fallen off a cliff. It was so bad today that I was genuinely inclined to refuse to pay.
The staff are as nice as always and I cannot fault them but the quality of the ingredients and the poor standard of food prep was shocking. I ordered a sandwich (a very simple one to be fair) and I got a toasty.. not a big deal, until you realise that the main ingredient in the sandwich was lettuce. The little portion of chips was no better than McDonalds and the sorry looking side of salad just rounded off a depressing plate of food.
While I will miss the banter from the staff, I think I will be giving the Shannon Knights a miss for the foreseeable future.

I had the pleasure of spending a couple of very enjoyable hours in this establishment. Great Pint,good craic, pleasant staff and very clean.
Live music on the night I visited, added immensely to the overall ambience.

The Shannon Knights Bar is a very popular venue for the people of Shannon and the surrounding areas. It's huge wide screen attracts a huge crowd for popular matches.

The Shannon Knights is very spacious and is divided ibto sections. Zest bistro occupies th front,where the food is excellent.
The bar also has a larger outside area which is very popular during sunny days.
The atmosphere is good and the staff are courteous and helpful. Bar food is also available..

This is a large pub in the centre of town.It is very much at the heart of the local community.It is also an off-license,disco-night club and bistro.Pub grub is available all day in either of the two bars or in the bistro.The "Zest"bistro offers a more extensive restaurant menu although the staff can be a little over-bearing.All in all definitely worth a visit.

Its a sports bar in a mall, and a nightclub in the evenings, well part of it is, if you want to watch multiple sports at once, hurling, horses, football etc, then this is the place plenty of TV's everywhere and it appeared the locals love it, there was more people in here than in the mall!
I normally visit for a beer or two after shopping at Dunnes, but that's about it. Never been to the nightclub but understand its the only one in town so.......don't know what else to say about this place
