Brilliant place for families and tour groups. There's also different camps throughout the year, where children of all ages get to see flight simulator in operation, from inside.

It's lovely to visit somewhere where the people give the tour and demonstrations have so much passion for the subject. Our visit to the Air Atlantic Ventures was brilliant. The kids got to dress up as pilots and aircraft personnel and we had almost an hour in the simulators. We then had a tour of the museum with many actual plane cockpits and memorabilia. Then a tour of the planes outside. There were seven of us from 8 to adult and all had fun.…

What a surprise we had in store at Atlantic Air Adventures. I’d booked an hour on the flight simulator for my dad who is afraid of flying and who at nearly 80 is unlikely to take to skies himself. I shared this information in advance when I booked online and the team couldn’t have made him feel more special. He flew the 737-800 with Harry at the helm who was brilliant with Dad and allowed him the experience of a lifetime & certainly one he has been talking about constantly since we did it. Taking off from Shannon to Singapore and landing in New York with a sneaky flyover the Statue of Liberty was amazing. Jane and team are brilliant, we enjoyed our time so much. They offer a range of options, we did an hour’s flight which was €150 but they offer lots of other options. 8 children (age range 8 - 12)plus 4 adults visited today and had a ball. Very educational in a fun and fascinating way. Kids hung on our wonderful guides every word. So worth the 2 and a half hour round trip. I'm ex cabin crew and I learned a lot today. Many "so that's why they do that" moments. Loads of wonderful photo opportunities. Very generous and informative staff. Great day out that's suitable for all age groups / boys and girls. Kids loved wearing the jumpsuit and being able to see all the aircrafts outside. Flight simulator is incredible. Highlight was inflating the lifevest. We all jumped! Definitely worth a visit and would be great destination for school tours. Very reasonably priced.( plus local Supermacs do deal for groups visiting- €4 kids meal.) We finished the day off with trip to viewing gallery in Shannon Airport which is just down the road to see the real thing in action. Thanks again to the wonderful staff there today.…
