Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The ferry was a great ride. It sure was interesting seeing the harbour. Would suggest the ferry for a place to visit.

Apearances can be deceptive. Shown as a ferry one might expect quite a large vessel perhaps even a car ferry.
Instead it is just a small open boat taking perhaps about a dozen people.
It is a one man operation running once an hour in each direction.
The man himself is knowledgeable and helpful.
Life jackets must be worn.
A pleasant trip on a fine day and costing only 3 euros.

The only problem was that we were unfamiliar with the area and uncertain as to the entrance. Otherwise, all went well, quick, pleasant ride.

Brilliant and inexpensive boat trip to do with the kids. Boat is just across the road from actons hotel. You get a few tips from the boat driver and end up across the bay at a lovely beach and historic James fort. an exciting way to travel across the bay, short trip just takes 10 minutes each way

The nice way to visit a great pub, a lovely sandy beach and an historical castle. Nice to travel a cross the water by boat.

We stayed with the yacht at the castlepark marina and used Barry's Service to the city.
A nice save ride and he even entertained the children.
Saftey First - All Person on board had to wear a life vest - no exception (s).

Recommend his Service.
3 € one way, 5€ return fare.

I really liked Billy's 'relaxed attitude' about time. Those who were catching the 2:00 p.m. ride were having lunch in the local pub. No problem...Billy says....I won't leave you! Very nice ride from Castlepark to Kinsale. Fun!
