We are so thankful to Ocean Addicts and highly recommend them. Anne, Graham, and their team were kind, patient, and professional. Took us out on our first cold water dive after several years off from diving. The views from the water were absolutely beautiful. We were both a bit over eager/ambitious (my husband got cold and I panicked at the beginning when I forgot how to breathe, and at the end when my regulator flooded with water), but the team was incredibly patient with us and made the experience worth it. 10/10- would do it again and absolutely would take a skills course with this team if we had the chance. Saw some cool sea life, such as massive crabs and starfish.

My husband and I went snorkelling with Graham and Anne out of Kinsale harbour in July and loved it so much we went back for a try-dive experience with them a couple of weeks later. They are both so friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the local marine environment. I'd say this is a must do for anyone (local or visitor) who wants to have a little underwater adventure. There's lots to see and these two are safe, professional and lots of fun. Can't recommend highly enough and very reasonably priced given all their work and attention.

My wife and I have been to Ireland four times (yes, we would move if we could). This really is one of the best things we have ever done.

I have never done anything similar to snorkeling in the past, so I was not sure what to expect, but the experience was great.

We arranged everything with Anne prior to leaving for Ireland. The day of snorkeling, we arrived down at the pier, got on the boat, got all of our snorkeling gear situated, and got onto the RIB to get out to the snorkeling site. If you are someone that gets sea sick - do not worry, this is a very smooth ride, you will be comfortable (barring some monster winds, of course).

On the way to snorkeling, Anne was very attentive to us, told us a lot of the history of the area and even made some great recommendations for some nice walks and good places to eat later in the day. Once we got to the snorkeling site, Anne got us in the water and took us out to check everything in the water out. Anne was very safety conscious making sure that we were warm, comfortable, and knew how to move around. At one point, my wife was cold and I wanted to keep going, so Anne took my wife back to the RIB and continued to take me around to explore some more.

Once I was out of the water, Graham took us back to the boat, we sat down, had some tea, and some great conversation with both Anne and Graham. Both of them are very warm, genuine, and all around lovely people. Next time we are in Kinsale, we will definitely be repeat customers. If you have any hesitations about this, I urge you to forget them and book an amazing experience today.

Anne and Graham taught me and my girlfriend to scuba dive and gain our PADI Open Water qualification. I would absolutely reccomend to anyone- the pair of them are very patient, have incredible knowledge and will make you feel completely at ease in the water.
I loved both our pool sessions and then subsequent sea dives, and real safe to dive elsewhere abroad now- it is abundantly clear Anne and Graham want to teach you correctly and safely, and if this requires additional tutoring to get you to that stage, they will take the time and effort to get you there. They were also incredibly flexible with accommodating us getting the open water dives done before we head on holiday.
Their facilities are great, they are so warm and helpful and I will absolutely return over the summer for more dives! Thanks again!

I just did the one dive at Ocean Addicts. From the start communication was great over e-mail. I got a warm welcome from Anne, Graham and Tony. Equipment was well maintained. I had my own personal dive guide who was able to point out the macro life and even gave me his torch for the duration of the dive. Very professional and friendly set up, nothing more I could ask for!

I had my first trip of 2017 back to Oceanaddicts a couple of weeks ago and it is as good as ever. Graham and Anne run my favourite dive centre anywhere, I have been diving with them since they started in business and over the last few years they have taken all of my business from the other dive centres in the country, I simply don't go anywhere else any more and visit Oceanaddicts five or six times a year.

The accommodation on board Embarr, a converted Royal Navy Fleet Tender, is very nice, there are two and four berth cabins, the beds are very comfortable and I normally sleep better on board than I do at home in my own bed. The cabins aren't en-suite but to be honest that doesn't mater.

Anne's cooking is incredible. Breakfast is pretty much whatever you want, whatever way you want it. When you come back on board after diving lunch is normally home-made soup, toasted sandwiches and the most incredible array of baked goodies - scones, cookies (chocolate-chip, peanut butter, ginger, etc.), flapjacks and buns (the lemon drizzle buns are amazing). You won't lose weight on board Embarr, that's for sure. Vegetarians can be catered for, just give them advanced notice.

Graham is a very experienced skipper and really knows the area well. Oceanaddicts don't guarantee you a particular dive site in advance, they do guarantee that you will get the best available diving for the prevailing conditions and experience level of your dive group and in my experience they have always delivered. Graham has never dropped me in the wrong place, at the wrong state of the tide or made the wrong call on the weather. The dive site briefs are always spot-on and easy to follow so you get the best out of each dive site.

There is a great range of dive sites from relatively shallow scenic reefs such as the Canyon at Back Head, deeper reefs such as the Bream Rock, offshore reefs such as the Ling Rocks and wrecks. Visibility varies with the weather and the time of year just like everywhere else, it was 8 to 10 metres at Easter this year and I have had 30+ metres on the Ling Rocks. Plankton blooms can reduce the visibility but don't spoil most of the dive sites. Plankton blooms can also bring in big filter feeders and I have swum with Basking Sharks near the Old Head.

The dive set up is good, there is a membrane compressor on board Embarr so Nitrox (up to 32%) is always available for appropriately qualified divers and they can fill up to 300 bar. It's a nice relaxed setup, you load your equipment into the kit room when you arrive, then it's just a matter of bringing it to the other side of the boat when you are going diving and you just drop it onto the RIB (a 9 metre boat with an inboard diesel engine and plenty of room) so you aren't hauling your equipment long distances which makes for a very relaxing trip. Rental equipment is available, it is good quality equipment and properly maintained.

When I arrive down I dump my gear on board, dump my car and I can just relax and not have to go anywhere (well maybe across the road to the pub at the end of an excellent day's diving) until it is unfortunately time to go home again.

I have been diving for more than 30 years and I am choosy about where I dive and who I dive with. In my opinion Oceanadicts really deliver a fantastic package and represent excellent value for money. Judging from the level of repeat business they get (I see a lot of the same faces every time I am on board Embarr) other people are of the same opinion.

Diving with Graham and Anne is so good, I've been back - and will be back again... and again... and again. If, that is, I can lose the pounds put on from Anne's cooking! The Embarr - an ex-RN tender - has plenty of room; neat bunk beds in cabins below, three bathrooms, a snug lounge and a kit room. Diving is off ribs as Embarr stays moored in Kinsale (though they also do liveaboard trips). A hearty full Irish breakfast, delicious scones and biscuits . rustled up by Anne in the galley - and home-made soup and toasties make up the fare. Graham and Anne know their diving - and there are great dives off Kinsale such as the gullies of the Sovereign rocks - monkfish, spider crabs, pipefish, loads of nudibanchs - is just one example. The evening you are free to explore Kinsale for a meal and a pint or two - and there's plenty of choice. G&A can also arrange marine photography courses. Graham also arranged for me to do some open water swimming. What more could you want? Hmm. Maybe one of those peanut butter cookies? I could fit another small one in!

Just finished my Open water diving course here today with Anne! It was amazing! Nice fellas! She is always very patient telling me all the details I need to know, make sure I learned the skills. Gram is a very fun person, he shows up with smiles all the time.
Will continue my diving course here when weather gets warmer. Kinsale is a lovely town, I believe diving brings me joy and good luck!
