Sorry but...
Jun 2019 • Family
So sorry to hear you are closed for the season but...
I was able to order Blacks in the restaurants around town. Also found in the grocery stores. So not all was lost. Great beers and the tour is a reason to comeback to Kinsale next year! Keep up the amazing work.

Fun experience-great beer (and rum !)

We were given tour by Mike. We were with other groups from different parts of the world and also locals too. The brewery talk was very interesting and informative. Mike really knew his stuff. The best bit was the tasting afterwards when a lot of us stayed tasting the beer for sometime! And the rum which was my favourite! Thank you Mike ! We had a great time and I would recommend this tour to anyone.

Weekend in Kinsale.

Well worth a visit. There gin is amazing. Only a short walk from kinsale town. The tou takes about 20 minutes . You can sample either the beers rum or gin before and after the tour. Just make sure to walk or take a taxi . Only €12 for the tour and that includes 4 drinks. Great value for money and a great way to pass an hour or two. Our tour guide sorry can’t remember his name but he was great . Would highly recommend.

Wish I hadn't been driving!

We decided to do the tour having tasted the gin at our hotel and combined it with a trip to Charles Fort and lunch in the town. Mary a very attentive host and met a lovely bunch of people. Great choice of drinks and you get a load of samples included in the ticket price which sadly I had to limit since I had the car! Very accomodating with our young son and kept him topped up with soft drinks free of charge. Interesting to see the process for both the beers and the spirits. Only shame is that we couldn't buy a bottle of the gin there!

This was a great way to spend a rainy Saturday. It's no James' Gate Experience but it's amazing to see such an amazing selection of quality beers and spirits come from such a small brewery!
Mary was a great host and we had great craic with the others in the tasting bar. We were lucky enough to get a few extra 'tokens' from a previous tour group to allow us to taste the full range :)
Would highly recommend it!

A great stop
Jul 2018 • Couples
Kinsale town is very pretty and nice to stroll the shops but my favourite stop in Kinsale was to see the origin of one of my favourite beers, KPA - Kinsale Pale Ale.
Unlike other hip microbreweries, Blacks shares a tiny space in a boat repair yard. The reception/tasting room is no bigger than a container.
Lets be honest here, the tour was fun but nothing special as these go and the working space is a single room. But you are not really here for the tour. It is the tasting of the awesome beers they produce here.
They do not have a license to serve drinks on premises so for €10 you get a “tour” and four bottle caps that can be exchanged for samples. We enjoyed trying all the beers on tap (thanks to the teetotalers in our group - more bottle caps!) as well as the spirits.
Still like the KPA best but the gin was very good as well. A fun stop in Kinsale and a great opportunity to sample they large variety of fare.

Personable tour
Aug 2018 • Couples
We booked our tour & arrived 30 minutes early,to be told we were more than welcome to take a seat in the bar.
We were met by Mary who chatted to us the whole time whilst informing us about the beers & the company.
We had a great tour & the most personable time here, the staff are genuine & really passionate about what they do.
The beers were delicious & lived up to there descriptions.
It is great to see a small irish company doing so well & long may it last!
5 stars from my wife & I!

A great find in Kinsale, friendly & very welcoming. Great beers & ipas, but their gin and spiced rum are so good too! A brewery with a difference, love the product diversity. Highly recommend a visit if in Kinsale.

my husband and I will be visiting Kinsale in October. Are there any tours at that time or can we at least come in and visit?

Are children allowed on tour?

H, I'm sorry no. The tour is in real live working brewery rather than a vistor center type experience. Safely is always at the front of our minds and children are not permitted for this reason.
