Had a really lovely lunch including Mussels, Seafood Chowder, Scallops prawns and black pudding. The welcome was warm and very friendly, COVID checks were excellent with contacts and sanitizing. Spacing of tables in the bar area was very good.
This was a lovely experience and I would highly recommend a visit to this well run pub.

Recently some new staff have been taken on at the White House Pub.
And they are rude and ill mannered. The food has become quite fancy.
I never go there now.
There are plenty of better alternatives a few minutes walk away, for example The Head of the River. The staff there are always polite, and the menu contains simple meals, eg, fish and chips.

My fiancé and I had just spent the weekend in Cork city and decided to drive to Kinsale and have breakfast after checking out of our hotel. We wanted breakfast, and got to Kinsale around 11am. After roaming around to see what was available we came across The White House who were serving breakfast until 11.30am. Once in the door we had to sanitize our hands and give our details for contact tracing which is absolutely reasonable. The staff were wonderful, so polite. We ordered the full Irish breakfast each which came with tea/coffee, orange juice and toast. It was lovely, and came with black pudding which I don’t usually like but this was really nice. When clearing the plates away I ordered another coffee, and soon requested the bill. We noticed the extra coffee hadn’t been added to the bill which we pointed out as we felt bad when the staff were so pleasant. Turns out the extra coffee was a free refill which was a wonderful surprise! I nipped to the toilet just before leaving and noticed how incredibly clean this place is too. We left full and happy. Definitely recommend eating here and will definitely be back again. Thanks so much ladies!

Dear Susiejp82, Thank you for your lovely review. I am delighted you enjoyed your breakfast with us and that we have a black pudding that you enjoy. Its also great to hear that you found our covid safety procedures and our cleanliness to be off a high standard. In these times we have taken great steps to ensure that we are doing as much as possible to protect our guests and our staff. I look forward to welcoming you again. Regards, David

I have just visited this establishment again. I went last year, had a great time with THREE other friends with MS.
Having just been again with my other half - one of the the three a year later - we were treat like alcoholics.
MS causes umpteen invisible disabilities, yet not the case.
The meal was not enjoyable at all.
To feel like drunken imposters, dimple burgers were not nice.
Never to return.

We visited here on a Monday evening early in April. We choose the pub rather than the restaurant. Excellent food, good choice on munu and really tasty. All of the staff were friendly and full of humour. Will go back again the next time we pass near Kinsale.

Seemed to be the most crowded spot in Kinsale. Live music was good covers and lots of people dancing. Quick bar service.

Had dinner here during a trip to kinsale, not great. Sole and scampi wasn’t very tasty. Fish was too thin and only tasted of breadcrumbs. Funky monk sandwich wasn’t great either. It could be our choices as the place was busy. Probably worst meal in kinsale.

The White House is listed as a hotel on Google but we went to the Pub for lunch. Great food and service! Excellent quality pub food. Best chips in Ireland. We had the sea bass special and the lamb burger with chips. Everything was spot on. Really friendly and helpful staff. Great for lunch or dinner.

Before you even walk in the door there is a Bronze Plaque commemorating one of our own US Navy Seals, a Medal of Honor winner and an Irish Lad of course. The Pub's Owner goes so far out of his way to honor those war veterans killed in action along with the men lost at Twin Towers....the place is filled with wonderful memorabilia and then there's the food.
The Guinness on tap can't be better and the food is exactly what one would find in a terrific Pub, only better coupled with a terrific staff, your visit here is a must even if you have to drive out of your way.
