A nice presentation
Jul 2019
This is a little museum that is honoring Irish born American Veterans. It is a small room with poster/presentations around the room with some actual artifacts associated with most of them. It seems like all the wars are represented. I'd say the presentation is very professional and appeals to it's audience...but you need to be it's audience. One in our group thoroughly enjoyed and was interested in every aspect and another, had a hard time relating because he couldn't relate to the why - he is a veteran. So I balanced them out with a 4 star rating.

Great little Exhibit

While the majority of our party are Irish, 2 are Vietnam War Veterans so we had to stop. Unfortunately the Medal of Honor went on an exhibit toTampa, Florida so we were not able to see it but they had had some artifacts from 9/11. Worth the quick stop and the curator was welcoming and informative.

Great place to visit
Apr 2019 • Couples
This little know place in Kinsale is well worth a visit . Declan Hughes offers a great history of the Irish Heros who fought for the USA with a medal of honour on display . Entry is free however I would suggest you leave a donation as it supports the exhibit and our veterans . Declan has wonderful contacts throughout the world and is great to speak with .
Thanks Martina & Colm

This is a very well composed exhibition. The use of images plus articles on display gives it a modern look. Discovered this gem by accident but I'm sure military personnel will be aware and in particular ex US military.
The Medal of Honor Exhibition may be a better title as that's what it is. Capturing the Irish influence in the US military.
It includes artefacts from 911 also.

We discovered it by accident. While walking in town looking around the museum was discovered by us. It was very interesting especially seeing the Medal of Honor and pieces from 911.

What a thought provoking visit. I never realised the magnitude of Irish men and women in the US army over the years. Incredible to have the only medal of honour on display outside of the US in kinsale, as well as pieces from the World Trade Center. Very well done expo. Beautiful Irish craft shop also located in the same building with only Irish made crafts and designs. Well worth a visit and it’s free

A nice place to visit if you're stopping in Kinsale. An excellent reminder of how much people of Irish heritage have contributed to America.

Thank you for your service

We are so glad we stopped by this Museum. We were warmly welcomed and the host (did not catch his name) gave us a wonderful explanation of what the museum was about. What a great way to honor the hundreds of Irish men and women who have served with distinction in the US Armed Forces. It was a very small way for me to show my appreciation for their service and sacrifice. I guess if you are not supportive of the US Military you can just pass this museum up, but if you are supportive of the US Military, and want to learn a little more about how the Irish have chosen to serve in our military, then you should definitely take 15-30 minutes and check this out. My favorite thing was the story of the NYFD's contribution from the towers. I still get goose bumps.

Free entry donation suggested and to be honest well deserved. Stunning exhibit. The man who was there was so nice and informative. Its a small room. 20 mins max.nothing for small kids to do. If in town strolling around worth a wander in.

When going elsewhere I saw the sign for this museum and as I had heard word of it previously decided to step in.
It is a beautiful calm space of serene homage to the Irish throughout the history of the USA in conflict. Self guided you can take as long as you like and the extensive knowledge of the curator will lead to conversations of great interest.
I was thrilled to be delayed by such an interesting display. Anyone with an interest in this area should try and visit.
