Great views on a clear day. We first came on a misty day and thought we had seen everything until we returned when the sun was shining - stunning!

Spectacular Site in a Perfect Location
Aug 2020
I called in with my partner as we were in the area, but we unfortunately found the site closed, and hence I cannot comment on the signal tower etc however the external site is open at all stages. the site is impressively well laid out and sympathetically orientated looking South out to sea over the spectacular Old head.
The grounds are beautiful and the information on the Lusitania, her crew and passengers is masterfully embossed onto a beautifully sculpted monument. It really is so unusual yet perfectly fitting for this site, its location and more so its purpose. You not only can read about the historic sinking so entwined into Irish and world history, leading to America entering into World War 1.
We were there on a wild windy day and short of detracting from the experience it added significantly to the overall feel and ambiance of the facility, to watch the wild Atlantic sea crash onto the old head of Kinsale.
It is so worth a visit and even worth the drive should you not be in the immediate area. I look forward to visiting again to see the signal tower.

Hi 972JamesO It was a pity that the signal tower which houses the Lusitania museum was closed when you visited us, it looks that you got a special association within the memorial garden even though it was a wild windy day on the day of your visit. Looking forward to meeting up with you on your next visit to us.

Beautiful views
Jul 2020
Spent an interesting hour here, the staff member who welcomed us was very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed reading about the Lusitania, and watching the various films, the views from the top of the tower are spectacular. The cafe wasn't open when we visited unfortunately but there are lots of tables should you want to bring a picnic.

Wonderful dramatic views.
Jan 2020
Museum was closed early January 2020 when we visited. Storm Brennan was in progress and weather windy and storming. Surf was really crashing the rocks and you felt the wind currents coming up and almost knocking you off your feet. On drive back watched the Kite Surfers catching the wind. Some were getting airborne 60 feet or better. A complimentary counterpoint to the snug fire enjoyed with a Guinness afterwards.

Hi Joe Thank you for your review, even though you could not visit our Lusitania museum, it seems that you still enjoyed what the area has to offer the visitor. You saw first hand why we are a Signature point on the "Wild Atlantic Way". Hope you enjoyed the rest of your trip around Ireland and hopefully the next time you visit the area we will be open for you to see the museum which tells the tragic story of the sinking of the Lusitania in 1915.
