Visited with a five year old, paid 24 euro for one adult/one child. Inside found various fun activities (remote control boats, mechanical diggers) etc. that are pay-per-use - carry a few coins if you visit. The site has barely been maintained or developed since the mid-90s, even the "WARNING: UNDER MAINTENANCE" signs look years old. There are a couple of inaccessible train carriages that appear to be used for storage. As ever with Ireland and trains, lack of vision has once again lead to missed opportunities. Certainly not a day out, just a very expensive hour.

Well worth the visit. My wife and I booked the tour over a month ago. We were hugely surprised by the overall scale of the site. When you arrive you feel as if it's a real railway station.
Theres lots to see. We took the train ride through Clonakilty village which lasts about 20min. I had paid online for the site visit but I was disappointed to discover the train ride was an extra 12 euros. Why not make it part of the overall package. The Café was basic and could have more to offer. There were no model rail souvenirs associated with clonakilty to be had.

Have to be honest and say I wasn't sure about bringing a 5 year old and 2 year old here. Felt it might be wasted on them. They absolutely loved it. It's three days since we were day and our five year old is still talking so much about it. Wonderfully created and maintained, train ride through town was lovely and little play centre was great too.

This was amazing. The work that must have went into getting this up to the standard it's at must have been phenomenal. The kids loved it. Well worth a visit.

We had a brilliant day out here with our two kids (10&6). The models are brilliant with great attention to detail. We even got to sail little remote boats on the lake....just make sure to have change with you as these run on coins.

Went with my two young autistic children and my teenage niece. All had a wonderful time, staff were very friendly and accommodating. It was such a fantastic place and the trains and boats moving along delighted the wee ones. It's set in a beautiful location as well. It also has a nice cafe and soft play available. My only issue was the price, I found it a bit expensive and there were little optional extras around as well (€2 for the digger). That said I still think it's very much worth a visit, the attention to detail in this model village is impressive and will entertain kids and adults alike.
