Wrapped up our Ireland trip with our favorite evening - live traditional Irish music from Jimmy Crowley at An Teach Beag ("little house") next to the artist himself and the whole place singing along. Amazing.

I stopped here for a Guinness and to listen to the Irish music session. The place was quiet, and Fergus the bartender told me it was because it was the 'winter season' (in mid September? go figure). Anyway, the pub is very quaint, with a lot of dark wood and a nice bar. The musicians were a man and and... More

Norma Walsh suggested this little pub, and we found a true irish atmosphere; everyone is involved to listen with attention all the sessions and to sing some songs. The musicians really enjoy their music, and all the public is there not to chat with loud voices, but to listen to the music, respecting the musicians. As we think that "craic" doesn't... More

Enjoyed a few drinks here even though I was travelling solo. The music and atmosphere was great and made me wish I could play an instrument.

Nice little bar that hosts a Traditional Irish music session at the weekends by local musicians/singers, well worth calling in to listen to the music and enjoy a beer or two while there.

We visited An Teach Beag on a recommendation from our hostess Norma Walsh. The pub was a cute as could be and opened into a larger room with a place to sit and hear music. The group was fun and had great craic. People told jokes and visited all around.

A small pub where everyone speaks in hushed tones so as not to disturb the musicians. Men and women played instruments and sang laments. The customers all listened. A friendly bunch of musicians invited visitors to sing, if they so desired. None did. A friendly pub.

An Teach Beag (Irish for The Small House) is a small, informal, friendly pub to listen to traditional Irish music with nor cover charge. There's no amplification, but the music and the warmth of the musicians fills the space. During the off-season, the music is on every Saturday evening beginning at 9:30; much more activity in the summer months. You... More

Was in Ireland for a two-week period with my two closest friends, and planned to be in Clonakilty for my birthday to enjoy some good music and to see an old friend (who unfortunately couldn't make it out that evening). We wanted traditional music and we got it here. The musicians were excellent and even let me make a birthday... More

Had a wonderful night in this boozer, very traditional looking Irish pub with traditional Irish music when we were there. There were a group of people who were making a lot of noise in the place and the band kept telling them to be quiet as not to disturb the listening pleasure of others, they didn't, but I still enjoyed...
