The tourist blurb called this a golden sandy beach - that was an exaggeration, it’s just about an average beach, not a great deal of sand, a lot of shells. Not what I would consider a proper beach

We had stayed in Malahide in the Beechwood country house B&B and the next day we were on route to Howth to take a walk down the beautiful pier and we stopped on such a beautiful sunny day the beach was buzzing with people walking.

It's such a pretty spot. Just sit by the banks and chill! It was even better as it was such a beautiful day today. Take a stroll along the banks.... it's therapeutic! :)

The beach itself can be stoney but it's worth it. Great views close to public transport 32 and 102 buses. Can be a strong current in parts so watch for that
