I organized a golf trip with 11 friends from Connecticut and playing The Island GC was the golfing highlight of the trip for most of the group. The course is an epic layout and truly memorable links experience. The caddies though really made the day through the quality of their golfing advice (scratch members) and pleasant demeanor. They knew our... More

Must play course. Great links golf- Great local caddies. Lots of blind shots and places you don't want to be surrounding many tucked away greens. One Fairway is 20 yards long tee to green and sits on edge of inlet. Some spectacular holes .

We played this fresh off of the plane with no sleep for 36 hours. It was rainy most of the round. We still enjoyed the layout and views. The staff was great in helping us get out early. Nice small pro shop. Good carts for rent.

Island used to be the private play ground for a small group of gentlemen but thankfully the course is open to the public and it is well worth a visit. Because of the location near Dublin's airport Island makes sense for an opening or closing round of an Irish rota if DUB is your gateway. Despite the location the course... More

We played this course on what must have been one of the best days of the year: blue skies and gentle wind made for a fun day. Drinks and lunch afterwards on the terrace and all 16 of us picked up sun tans... Food was basic golf club fare: nothing special but meeting ones basic needs. A well-stocked Pro Shop... More

We arrived to the sun shine to enjoy this world famous course, a treat was in store, we experienced all four seasons in one round of golf, buggys are advised as those dunes go up as well as down, the friendliness of the staff at The Island was truly Irish, but the piece de resistance has to be the Scampi... Very friendly staff and members welcomed us to our first round of golf in country. A great experience on a cool overcast day. Numerous long par fours that present quite a challenge. Spring conditions are coming, so I am sure it will be in much better shape as the summer progresses. Have a great round - don't bother looking for... More

What we found at the Island course just outside of Dublin was that it take all of the traditional Ireland Links courses and combines into 1 spectacular experience. The first Tee Box is majestic leading out from the clubhouse to surrounded by 40ft Dunes and leading right to the Ocean. Lot's of Character Holes...you want to keep the ball in... More
