- ed m1 contributionGood fun and value for moneyJust back from the waterpark. Yes it's a bit dated but apart from that it's a good few hours fun. I had two 15yr old, 13yr old and an 11yr old. They'd great fun and so did I. We got there 20 minutes early for our 1pm booking got changed no problem and into the pool 10mins before our time. The changing room was really busy when we got out but we just waited patiently no big deal.Visited May 2023Written 14 May 2023
- Micheal3005 contributionsCould be betterToo many people in changing facilities - they should really space bookings out better. Makes the place feel a bit unclean. Never seen so many miserable looking staff in a place in my life - honestly, a smile costs nothing.Visited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten 17 July 2023
- Keira W7 contributionsNot as clean and too big of crowds let inToo many people allowed into it, bought tickets online, queued forever to let a big school group in, then couldn’t get into the changing rooms as the queue to get in was awful. As we queued so long I asked the staff if we stay in longer now as we were late getting into our session because of the queue they stated no all sessions finish 2gether, this isn’t fair. The pool was nice and warm but the bigger pool wasn’t as clean. There was scum around the tiles, there wasn’t a smell of chlorine at all, it didn’t feel clean, too many people in means long awaited queues for the slides etc, it would be great if we could actually get in at the time we were suppose to and don’t let as many people in at the 1 time, we actually finished earlier in their just so we could get a changing room of some sort b4 the next session started.Visited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten 25 July 2023
- MstarM33 contributionsLots of fun!Great day out with the kids, lots to do for our 4 & 7 year olds! As per previous reviews, the changing room situation after the swim session needs more consideration, extremely busy. - Dee21783 contributionsToo many people.Long lines for entry. Overcrowded and lockers/changing facilities were therefore limited. They need to monitor numbers or inprove their booking system. There was so much chlorine my eyes burned before I was even in the water. Kids enjoyed the slides and wave pool.Visited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten 27 July 2023
- T.MCG/NGalway, Ireland22 contributionsNot greatNot great to be honest. Packed with people. Not enough dressing rooms, and when you did get one its filthy. While I was there with my family, there was another child who had slipped and cut his foot on a broken tile, poor lad was running around looking for his parents, but unfortunately he left a trail of blood on the floor, that was left there. No one cleaned it up. Our children said they had a great time and really enjoyed the slides, they were told off for jumping in to the pool, imagine that, no jumping in.. But I'm not so sure if I'll be taking them back in the near future.Visited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten 30 July 2023
- LeonVQuinnMohill, Ireland71 contributionsSmall but fun waterparkI was worried about the 2 hour stay limit but it was fine really, just enough time. Wasn't too busy (on a Sat in July!) and the slide queues weren't too bad. The wave pool is mental!? Lazy river small but fun. - Kieran M1 contributionDissapointingAbsolute chaos trying to get in initially and then getting changed. All this experienced, before you even get to the water area's. Well staffed inside the facility when you eventually get in. £27.50 for an adult and a child would expect a bit more for the price point.Visited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten 1 August 2023
- GoPlaces443604825151 contributionToo expensive. The cost for 12+ priced as adult. Expensive 2 hours. Changing rooms jammed and no good shower facility if u want to shower no privacy. Bring your shower hat ( new this year) 2 euro a hat. The wave pool one of best things only lasts short while. Too expensive for what it is.Visited August 2023Travelled with familyWritten 3 August 2023
- AulMikeAntrim, United Kingdom47 contributionsAn expensive Shocking Experience.Took my wife and 2 grandchildren. Changing facilities are horrendous, non locking lockers, men, women & kids in same confined space, unbelievable - be prepared for a fight to get somewhere to get changed, grown men dropping their trunks in front of women and kids as they couldn't get a cubical in an overcrowded confined space to get changed. How this is even legal is beyond me. Men and women pushing other people's kids around. Water was dirty, i lifted out flies, plasters, and there was other sinister objects floating about. I put a brave face on for my 10 year old granddaughter as this was all she wanted to do on our holiday. We left soaking wet as we couldn't get anywhere private to change. Place has potential to be better, but i doubt that will ever happen. It definitely should be reported to the child protection authorities and Health & Safety. Cant add photos as cameras are not allowed (thank goodness they got something right) and the extremely young staff!! were pleasant enough but most of them looked to young to be holding such a serious position of a lifeguard. An expensive Shocking Experience. (understatement)Visited August 2023Travelled with familyWritten 11 August 2023

We loved our trip to water world with our 3 & 6 yr old, they had an absolute ball! Loads to do over the two hours session.
It is crazy busy, so for little ones it’s a case of 1 on 1, as the amount of people there was nuts. The changing rooms are a little crazy with people leaving & entering at the same time - perhaps they should staggering the times would help so there’s less of a crossover??
Great day!

We attended waterworks as a family of 2 adults and 4 children and want to
Ensure people
Do not visit as it is a mess of a place
- the place is COMPLETELY filthy and needs fumigated.
- water had plasters, and dirt all over it
- staff were all teenagers who looked so depressed
- the changing rooms were something else !! So tight and rammed, overcrowding of people and a complete free for all and we witnessed a few fights as there were no changing facilities for young children!!!
- outdated slides and this place really needs knocked down !!
- needs reported this place to Donegal council and health and safety executive .
- no private showers ot even changing rooms for families to change and people
Waiting on top
Of each other to fight for a cubicle !!
WISE UP WATERWORLD this is utter pathetic in this day and age !!! - will never ever be back in this dump with my children’s
Md could t wait to get showers when we got home to our clean house!!
- read the other reviews on this place to see similar horror stories !! I’d say last cleaned when it opened in 1991 !!!

Visited Waterworld Bundoran today and was left very disappointed. We arrived in and then went and queued for slides. We went around all the slides and then after a while I asked the senior lifeguard about the wave pool only to be informed then after about an hour that it was not working. The changing area was chaos there was not enough space and the change over was not handled properly and the changing area was not clean. I talked to the general manager on the way out and made the point to her that my younger siblings were dissappointed that it was not working she said you know yourself these things happen and then when I made the point that it was not great still having to pay full price for half the experience of Waterworld she said WOW and then walked away from me. The only reason I am leaving a poor review and not a terrible one is that my younger siblings enjoyed the slides.

This place is not for the faint hearted, it opened in 1991 and its possible it hasn't been upgraded in anyway since then, to begin, I rang on the morning we were visiting to make sure All slides, wave pool etc were usable and was advised they were, only to arrive after considerable journey with the family to find the wave pool machine had all of a sudden just stopped working, this place should not be charging €16 per person for facilities that are nowhere near up to standard,
Overpriced considering also that the changing facilities are in no way adequate for to cope with the volume of people going through the place, heck families were even resorting to changing in the toilets, leaving this service then unusable, oh and just one more thing to wrap this up lightly, €2 for a swim cap which is essential for entry to the pool, if it's all about the money, then it's high time it was used to begin the major upgrade this place needs, for now, we certainly won't be back until it can be a more pleasurable experience.

Hi there,
you only have to book for the seaweed baths, not Waterworld.
As we are in peak season we do advise coming here early(we open at 10am) Or leaving it till later, like 3.30 or 4pm to avoid queues.
Kind Regards,
Pippa.

Hi there, there is a viewing area but it is not seated and can be very warm this time of year. Our cafe opens in July and August and you can avail of hot and cold drinks, snacks, sandwiches & crisps.

Hi, yes you can stay in all day. However there are no eating facilities and you cannot bring food or drink in with you. To be honest after 3 hours you will be ready to leave. Best to go in at 10am in the morning when it's quiet. At 1pm it gets crazy and the ques for the slides are too long. Go in at 10 am and leave at lunch time.

Hi Siobhan. Thanks for your interest in Waterworld. Unfortunately Waterworld does not open each year until Good Friday and this year will open for the season on Friday April 14th at Midday. It will be open then for the entire Easter week from 12-6 each day. I hope this doesn't cause too much disappointment. Shane Smyth, Tourism Officer.
