Rachel organized a customized 4 day cycling vacation for myself and 2 friends along the Wild Atlantic Way in Donegal. In summary, it was a super enjoyable trip. Rachel is amazing, the cycling was great, the accommodation met our expectations. However, we were a little disappointed with the food in Donegal. In a bit more detail. The cycling was great, about 100km per day with about 1400m climbing each day. Day 1 was Muff - Ballyliffin, Day 2: Ballyliffin - Dowings, Day 3: Downings - Dungloe, Day 4: Dungloe - Killybegs. While generally following the Wild Atlantic Way, there were lots of side tracks on amazing little roads with almost unbelievably amazing scenery. Rachel organized the whole thing based on our needs and requirements. It was a simple, collaborative process. We met her in Donegal, dropped our car there and she drove us to Letterkenny. We started biking the next day from Muff. Rachel transferring our gear from hotel to hotel, organizing or suggesting lunch / dinner spots. Significantly, she was alway available during the day if and when needed. This came in handy a couple of times: when the Buncrana ferry was cancelled due to high winds and we needed a lift to the other side of Lough Swilly and when we needed a change into dry clothing after 2 hours biking in the rain and a lift to the next good weather starting point. Generally speaking, we would meet her three to four times during the day as she checked in with us. For the food, apart from a restaurant in Letterkenny (The Lemon Tree) and Downings (The Fish Shack), we found it a little uninspiring. I’m not sure how Rachel organized this, but we also had 3.5 days of good biking weather out of 4 days. She is a bit of a weather magician also, it seems ;-) Highly recommended trip, when done with Rachel’s Irish Adventures.

Hi Rory, Thanks for your lovely review and I'm delighted you enjoyed the cycling trip. You were all such fun, full of energy and an absolute pleasure to be with. I am sorry that the dinners in two of the hotels were just not up to scratch. I have contacted both hotels and passed on your remarks, perhaps this has something to do with the Covid restrictions and staff issues but in any case, it's not an excuse and is important that the food is top class especially after a long day on the bike. Pass on my best regards to Paul and Pat, keep up the training and I look forward to seeing you for the next adventure. Cheers! Rachel

Hired adult bikes and trailer from Rachel. Great kit and even better was the helpful and thoughtful advice Rachel gave us for our stay in and around Ballina. Loads of top tips. Thorough, friendly service. Just what we needed.

We hired an electric bike and an hybrid bike for my husband and I from Rachel. My maiden voyage using an electric bike! Rachel was most helpful in every respect from getting me used to using it to advice on the best route to take for us and our 3 kids aged 12,15 and 8.Loved the trip around Belleek and highly recommend Jack Fenn's courtyard restaurant at the castle. Food is devine! Will def do another trip using Rachel's service.Ballina has lots to offer between the coast nearby with Enniscrone, SUP on the Moy trips like this and lovely places to eat dotted around the town. Rachel's bikes are immaculate and the route ticked all our needs. Thanks so much! See you soon!

First, Rachel's communication is top-notch. To my countless emails, her responses were prompt, thoughtful and detailed. Rachel welcomed our numerous desires while providing her knowledgeable, local input to create the best possible trip. She gets a sense of your wishes/abilities/budget and tailors each moment accordingly. As an in-depth travel planner, it was relieving and enjoyable to shed some of the responsibility. Second, from the moment we met Rachel for our Irish Tour, we felt like friends … better yet, family. She gave my partner and I her utmost attention during our 6 days with her (Belfast to the Causeway Coast to Sligo to Ballina). Our time with Rachel, Iszy and Marjorie was filled with adventure, fun, relaxation, culture, history, culinary delights, and let’s not forget the Guinness, whiskey and Irish coffees. (We stayed at Brigown Bed and Breakfast for three nights, which was lovely. The breakfasts are divine!) While we had our itinerary, there was opportunity for spontaneity and flexibility. Up until the last minute, Rachel suggested ideas and options to consider. Some of which we did together and some we did independently; it was the perfect mix. She truly encouraged us to step out of our comfort zone to explore the area and ourselves. We believe we left Ireland as stronger women both mentally and physically! When we started planning our trip, I read how Irish culture believes travel should be centered around, See Less and Experience More. With Rachel’s Irish Adventure, we walked away feeling completely fulfilled and the experience has left a lasting impression. We highly recommend working with Rachel to develop your unique Irish holiday … we’re hoping to work with her again to see more of the island. Sláinte!

Thank you so much for the kind words. It was totally ‘awesome’ to spent this time with you ladies. You became part of the family and we really loved your company, hiking, biking, discovering Irish Whiskey, long deep chats over a Guinness or two.. The saying come as strangers, leave as friends was 101% the case with you ladies. We are excited to see you again in Ireland and/or on some other adventure. Keep stepping out of the comfort zone... Your buddies Rachel & Iszy
