- Fiona5 contributionsA real pubWe stayed in Foxford for a few days and popped in for an early evening drink on a couple of evenings- we had the children with us so didn’t stay long, but would have loved to. They don’t make pubs like this anymore- an absolute gem. The owner remembered our order a few days after we first called in. Friendly, hospitable and full of charm. Would definitely call again and highly recommend.Visited August 2022Travelled with familyWritten 19 August 2022

Guirys is an Old fashioned pub, like you'd hope to find in many places but don't. It's a place to talk & enjoy good Guinness & possibly a whiskey.

We popped into this bar hoping for a decent pint and a bit of shelter from the cold. What a delightful discovery to find a warm fire, a fantastic pint of Guinness, and a hearty welcome from the owner. We were disappointed we couldn't stay for longer but now we've discovered it, we will definitely be back!

A great place to stop for a pint. You are always welcomed. It’s a great place to catch up on the local news or how the local fishing is doing.

There is a lovely blend of locals and tourists, old and young. Cosmopolitan and an original pub. Hard to find anymore. Worth a visit for sure.
