About
*Tours not Running at present* The Foxford Woollen Mills guided tour offers a truly unique experience to visitors by giving them a background to the Mill, why it was set up in Foxford in 1892, the challenges that were faced and how they were overcome. The story of the Mill is a fascinating tale of one woman’s incredible determination and triumph over adversity. The story will make you marvel at the journey this small town took, right up to the present day, where you can see the working mills still producing the best of Irish-made products. Throws, Blankets, Scarves & Accessories Baby Blankets and Rugs Furnishing Fabrics, all woven here. In our Cafe we serve a range of homemade lunch/salads/soups and deserts, also gluten free and vegan options available. Also home made Jams, Chutneys, Salad Dressings, Brown Bread and Scones to eat in or take away. Browse and enjoy our extensive range of home and furniture items in our shop. We have free car parking, baby changing facilities and a lift.

Foxford proves that great food does not have to be a rip-off experience
Jun 2021
Take note Avoca, Camile, and 99.9% of Irish food and beverage outlets. Foxford have finally proven that great quality does not have to come at a rip-off price. I am so delighted to see this. It puts paid to the BS touted by the usual suspects that consistently puts Ireland competing for last place in the eating out experience stakes. What is it in Ireland that F&B outlets are in some sort of race to gouge its customer? Well done Foxford - you are an exception and a benchmark.

I am so in love with Foxford Woollen Mills. There is no where like it in Ireland. Not only is every piece pure perfection, it also has the best people, an amazing cafe (you will not believe the quality and the range) and is the most beautiful setting. Please make it your business to visit this gem, you won’t be disappointed.

Free tour is a delight - best lunch in Ireland too
Nov 2019
You get a free tour and it is great to see them actually making the delightful materials. It seems impossible how they make such intricate designs. Bib shop but most priced beyond our means. They have a cafe too which we reckoned was the best food in our 3 week trip! Combine your visit with the wonderful Ceide Fields nearby.

We were given a history of the factory by a lovely young lady and a brief tour of the factory itself. It was really interesting and if in the area its an absolute must do.The retail area is full of high quality Irish goods and the cafe is one of the nicest I have ever seen in any tourist attraction.

Unique and high quality of products....

Great to had the opportunity to see this place.
I was there two weeks ago with my friends.
Homeware, giftware, clothing, christmas gifts,
something for everyone. The Old Mill Restaurant
perfect if you need to relax during your lunch break,
is located upstairs, and the Mill shop on the ground floor.
Home cooked meals, cakes, sandwiches, coffees.
My friends are both had a Spicy Pumpkin soup,
it was little too spicy they said, and we all had a nice
Classic Lasagne, but it was a little under seasoned.
For dessert we had Coffee Cake and it was a big size
and just perfect with an intense coffee flavor.
We had a very pleasant time there.
