The first thing to note is the care and attention paid to decor. The place is beautifully decorated. The shop window display changes frequently, and the display is often makes a witty or timely commentary on local or national events. The shop is quite small, so you need to move carefully through the display stands but there's always something new to explore, as well as a clear commitment to mindful consumerism. In my view, this is the way Belmullet, and indeed Erris, needs to head: a bow to the place, and a bow to other places that are also working to integrate and sustain communities, diversity, fairness, and creativity.

We visited this shop on a rainy afternoon which happened to be the shop's birthday. We walked in and were greeted by a very friendly lady who told us it was the Lunasa Festival and offered us some delicious tasters. My two little girls were offered face painting and to have their nails painted (which they jumped at), they were given balloons and we were made to feel extremely welcome.

While the girls were being painted I had a look through the lovely stock. Gorgeous pieces, some one offs made by local people. Everything obviously thoughtfully sourced. There is also a little coffee shop with home made bits. I bought two scones to take with me which were excellent. The food I saw others having looked excellent. Everyone in the shop was so friendly and I would 100% recommend a visit. Especially if you're looking to buy something a little bit extra special.

Definitely a lovely addition to Belmullet!

Always a nice experience in this shop - full of very cool local crafts, gifts, books and small furniture pieces. And they're now serving really good coffee and cakes.

Love to call in when around, lovely friendly staff with local knowledge. My nieces have taken pottery classes and sewing classes which they offer, but the shop is full of local crafts and they have even started offering tea and coffee.

For a start it's open Sunday morning. Great cup of coffee and the homemade cake was absolutely delicious. It's small and numbers are very restricted, but, hi o on give it a try as the shop houses plenty of local crafts that are one offs.

While visiting relatives in the Belmullet area, we popped into this gift store to look around. What a great place to buy gifts! I wish I could have stayed longer to browse but we had a full day ahead of us. I did buy some orange marmalade with Irish whiskey to bring home to my husband. (I've eaten most of it!!)
If you are anywhere close to Belmullet, make it a point to stop in.

Many thanks for the review and recommendation. We are glad you liked the marmalade - just one of the many fab products we stock that are made in Mayo! Hope to see you again next year. Rosaleen

On the outside this shop in Belmullet already looks nice. Inside we did not know where too look so many nice things were for sale. The staff was very friendly and cheerful. They also gave lost of good advice of things too see.
Of course we left the shop with bags full of beautiful things.

A beautiful little shop in the town centre selling locally made produce. You can also enjoy a lovely cup of tea or coffee along with a sweet treat. The lady who served us was friendly and full of helpful information. A great place to pick up a unique gift or just relax with a cup of coffee.
