Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This place is absolutely amazing and would be nothing without the wonderful Mazz behind it! Literally the smallest record shop I have even been in ever, however Mazz just exudes charm, warmth and friendliness. She knows everyone in the area, and the shop is surprisingly well stocked for something so small. It seems that Mazz works hard to promote up and coming artists, as well as being a huge part of the local community. Her 'sessions from the shop' are wonderful and anyone who visits Dingle should not go home until they have dropped by here!

I have to confess that -- even though Irish music makes me tap my feet and feel happy -- it mostly sounds all alike to me.
But if I spent a few days hanging out with Mazz O'Flaherty, that could change. I have a closet that's bigger than her record shop on Green Street in Dingle. Stuffed into that tiny shop is a vast array of Celtic musical styles -- and one very large personality.
Walk in with a vague idea that you might want an Irish CD or two to go home with you, and Mazz will start slapping CDs into her player, talking a mile a minute about the tunes, the musicians and the sacred artistic tradition that's at the center of her life. In a few minutes, you'll start thinking you might be learning something. One thing you'll be learning is respect for Mazz's dedication to her art. And perhaps you'll start hearing the differences between this performer than that one, between a reel and a jig and an air.
I left with a couple of Chieftans recordings. I know, totally predictable. But you have to start somewhere.
If you're doing the Dingle Peninsula (gorgeous, ethnically and archeologically significant and not nearly so covered up in tour buses as the neighboring Ring of Kerry), take a detour to this tiny shop. You'll carry away a big memory along with a CD or two.

This tiny shop has so much music and atmosphere. It’s right in town on Green Street next to a great bookstore. Don’t leave Dingle without stopping in.

We stumbled into Mazz's shop as it was just down the road from our B&B in Dingle. There's a wonderful selection of traditional Irish music (as well as choices in other genres), but the real highlight for us was Mazz herself. We had a great chat that did not last nearly long enough, could have stayed for hours! Our B&B host told us the next day that Mazz is the "Queen of Dingle" and I quite agree. Do yourself a favor and stop in if you're in the area, its well worth the visit!

Went here in October & as wonderful a shop as it is, I was surprised I was the only one inside. Of course, I'd read the reviews in advance, & I intended to visit, but as I entered & began to browse, I eventually found myself helping the shopkeeper send a text with her new smartphone.
At any rate, the shop is quite tiny, but full of music, many of which is local to the Dingle area. Fix her phone (or otherwise get on her good side) & the shopkeeper might be willing to cut a deal, which given the generally high price of CDs in Ireland, is a welcome venture.
I left with 3 albums I'd planned to purchase & 2 more I was "convinced" to buy. All of them are excellent. Pay this shop a visit.

It may be the smallest music shop in Ireland, but its selection of local music is extensive and varied. The owner, Mazz O'Flaherty, loves to visit and is a wealth of information. If you're truly interested in music, you will find it impossible to leave empty-handed!

Irelands smallest music shop stocks a huge selection of CDs and vinyl records. Local owner Mazz loves a chat and loves all things music. Any music lover would do well to stop by when visiting the Dingle Peninsula!

Be sure to stop in the Dingle Record shop if you are in Dingle! It is tucked away in the middle of the high street and the proprietor of the shop, Mazz O, is quite the character! A must stop when you are in Dingle!

Stopped in here on a visit to Dingle, and was delighted at the finds. This is a terrific shop, well stocked with Irish (and many other types) of music. I picked up a wonderful 2-CD compilation of Irish music for 18 Euros that would have cost me over $40 in the US, so I was delighted. Mazz was great to talk to, and I look forward to listening to the "Sessions From the Shop" on the Internet. If you're a music fan, you *have* to stop in here when you're in Dingle!

I was taken aback to see that Dingle Record Shop has just one review prior to this.
It was amazing to see the selection of CDs (mostly traditional) that the owner, Mazz, has fit into this tiny, tiny shop. She is a character, in the best way, who loves to share her knowledge of the local scene. She stocks many CDs that you will not find on Amazon. When I mentioned seeing a local accordionist the night before, she knew just who I meant (I didn't remember his name), and quickly produced his CD.
Take a walk up Green St to see Mazz, you won't regret it.
