A visit to the Dingle Crystal Factory was a surprise addition to our Rick Steve's tour and one of the most memorable of stay in Dingle. I didn't think I liked cut crystal until I saw the very unique and modern designs made by this family. And what gracious hosts! Two of the sons came in on the weekend to give us a tour and history - and allow us to watch the crystal being cut which is an amazing thing to see. Worth a visit for sure. They also have a shop downtown.

We were lucky to visit the factory to see Sean, the owner, and his team making stunning crystal pieces. Wow!
There is a shop in the town of Dingle, too, but we were able to shop the showroom at the factory. They’ll ship directly to you for just 35 euros — and that’s well worth it when you are purchasing one of a kind, stunning pieces which will become heirlooms. A fabulous one of a kind centerpiece bowl will be heading to me in just a few weeks!
This is a must see/visit. Sean trained with Waterford Crystal and his skill - and that of his team - is truly a treat to be able to see in person. It gave life to ‘hand cut Irish crystal!’

If you are visiting Dingle, the Dingle Crystal Factory is a must see tour. This is a family-owned business. Sean is an incredible craftsman. He spoke directly to us and explained his process, He cut a wine glass while we watched all by memory! His work is beautiful and definitely an art. He even signs each piece! They will also ship your purchases, so no worries about luggage weight! I highly recommend.

Elegant, hand blown, hand cut beautiful crystal. We went with a large group and the family put on quite a show for us. The father, a master craftsman from Waterford cut a stemless wineglass for us free hand while we watched.
It was very impressive.

We were able to tour the place where they do the engraving which was unexpectedly interesting. The crystal is beautiful and my favorite was that during the pandemic they started having the apprentices practice on old whiskey bottles from the pubs. Then they turned these into beautiful candle holders which they now sell! I don't have a need for crystal goblets etc. but I did buy the candle and I will have a beautiful vase or drinking glass when the candle is used up.

Our driver stopped here. We would not have stopped but or him taking us here. It was interesting to see how they crystal is etched with water and a diamond wheel. Made a small purchase and shared a shot of whiskey to celebrate our new wares.

We found Sean’s operation when visiting Dingle in 2016, when his son, Adam, coordinated our demonstration at the “old” factory. That led to purchasing a few items at their shop, then a few more via the web-site over the years.
Visiting Dingle in July, 2022 stopping in both were high on our itinerary. The people at the laundry (the old factory location) were most pleasant giving us directions to the expanded factory around the corner.
Meeting the rest of the family (Sean and Adam were not in town that day): Bella (and “friend”/apprentice Jonathan), Stephen, and Shane at the factory, plus Rebecca later at the shop (where additional pieces were ordered), filled in the blanks for us with his family. Meeting and chatting with all of them made us wish we could have met Liz - as she must have been special to have raised this fine family.
Dingle, and Dingle Crystal, has become special to us. Hopefully we will be blessed to return again.

Actually visited their manufacturing location just outside of town first. Family run small business was so friendly and accommodating. Introduced to owner and watched him, over his shoulder, apply his unique skills to transform glass into a beautiful crystal design. Easily on par with Waterford, they have full line of glassware and patterns. With so many things to see in Dingle, this was will be one of our top favorite memories.

The tour of the Dingle Crystal facility is small but mighty, and a family affair. You’ll meet patriarch Sean, who has been cutting crystal since he was a 15 year old apprentice in Waterford, his son, his daughter, and even their dog. It is a pleasure to learn how the crystal is cut and see a master at work. No purchase is required, but beware that you will want to buy a piece or two to remember all you you have learned (and they will ship it so that you needn’t worry about getting it home safely). We went with a large group and thoroughly enjoyed learning about this important local business.

We visited Dingle Crystal Factory as part of a tour. It was one of the favorite stops on our tour. The staff is very friendly. The tour was full of interesting information. The highlight was a demonstration of actual cutting work on a glass. Great tour!!!!
