It might take you a bit to get there but you will be happy to see it! The structure will give you a better understanding of life within the beehive community.

Though off the beaten path, this is so worth looking for! To see this standing stone, with its ancient Goddess carved in it and then to see the Cross that was added much later is truly remarkable! The fuscia growing everywhere around these ruins adds...More

It is unlikely to take even an hour to take in this stop, but it is certainly worth it to add it to a Slea Head Drive or Wild Atlantic Way drive.

Really nicely laid out. You get a real feel for what it was. And it is not at all touristy, which makes a nice change

The stone monuments of Dingle are accessable and fascinating. Extremely well preserved. Quiet, time for reflection and exploration. We visited them with Tim Collins (Skieurd tours); he's so knowledgeable and friendly.

You can find this down a very narrow lane near Ballyferriter on the Dingle peninsula (my passengers were convinced I was driving up someone's private drive). There's not much left but you can see the outline of the buildings and there is a large carved...More

Turn south at the B&B Pub at the bridge and junction to Wine strand. Follow road for about 200m on right. This was a simple site but unique due to the engraved stones. It's free and worth a stop as it is right of sales...More

This is a really cool monastic site, but it can be difficult to find. The google map location of it takes you to a different area. It also goes by Reask rather than Riasc (Irish word). It's very peaceful and quiet here, so take it...More
