Ian Moriarty was such a knowledgeable and energetic guide when we traveled for our 20th wedding anniversary. He took us through Killarney National Forest, up the Gap of Dunloe, around the Dingle Peninsula and up to Galway over the course of two days. Conversation was easy, enlightening and funny. He knew how to avoid the crowds. We barely saw a bus. He built special touches into an itinerary that blended our requests with the trodden path of a true local expert. We even poured our own pint at a pub, and Ian secured us last-minute reservations at the best seafood restaurant in Dingle. As an increasingly rare true Irish speaker, he brought a historical heft and even a few language lessons to the tour. And he provided the rules of the road and confidence to my wife that she would be able to take the wheel in our rented car later in the trip. Not only would we recommend Ian to anyone who’s traveling to Ireland, we’d enthusiastically welcome Ian and his family into our home next time he makes it to the States. Thanks, Ian!

It’s all been said in the comments below, but it’s all true! Ian is a fantastic tour guide in every sense! He took on the daunting task of helping our multigenerational group of 14 family members enjoy a trip to Ireland - and of sending us all home again with our relationships still intact! And he did it!!!! Ian was organized, knowledgeable, and amiable. He was very attentive to everyone’s different needs and interests. He offered countless suggestions to help us plan an itinerary that was well-paced and varied enough to keep kids and adults engaged and happy, and he was flexible and adapted easily to changes as they arose. He graciously helped herd us cats through each day with infinite patience and plenty of jokes. His knowledge and stories helped us better understand and appreciate the areas we visited, and he readily fielded our many questions as he drove. In all, this family trip proved to be an incredible opportunity, and much of that was thanks to Ian’s knowledge, recommendations, support, and presence. We feel fortunate to have been able to travel with him! Go raibh mĂle maith agat!!

We just finished a wonderful day out exploring the Dingle peninsula with Ian. Ian is a great guide - professional, helpful, courteous, fun and very, very knowledgeable. He showed us areas of the peninsula that we would never have found ourselves, covering the history, architecture and people of the area and Ireland in great depth. He clearly loves Ireland, and is especially fond, and rightfully proud, of the area where he grew up - the Dingle peninsula. We can wholeheartedly recommend Ian to any person or group wanting to tour this area, or Ireland in general.

Our family took a tour of Ireland in late May of this year and had a wonderful Ireland experience and tour. Ian went way above and beyond to cater to the needs of our group ranging in age from 10 to well into the 70's. Ian was always punctual, energetic, knowledgeable, and flexible. I rarely make the time to leave recommendations but the quality of his service demands it.

We recently completed a 10-day tour with Elegant Dingle Tours and thoroughly enjoyed each day. The group was large, and multi-generational which created its own challenges. Ian was flexible and responsive to those needs, taking special care to provide entertainment for the small children without sacrificing the interests of the adults. His humor and stories kept us entertained on the van rides between stops, and the recommendations for dinner (and assistance with getting a reservation on the Bank Holiday weekend) were invaluable. I would highly recommend his services for a trouble-free tour around this beautiful island!!

We were so excited to return to Ireland, not only for the trip itself, but to spend 10 days with Ian after our first visit two years ago. Once again, everything was perfect. From the planning to organizing, not a detail was overlooked. We were able to land in Dublin and not have to think or worry about a thing for the entirety of the trip.
Spent 10 nights golfing and touring and it was laid out and executed beautifully. Tour days were filled with activities we never would have found on our own, all tee times were perfectly planned for the day and accommodations were amazing!
We can’t wait to return in 2026, once again planning to use Ian for all aspects of that trip as well. Cannot recommend Elegant Dingle Tours highly enough, Ian will make your trip and you will not regret it!

12 extended family members and I went on a 5-day tour of Ireland's beautiful south and west with Ian Moriarty in August 2019. Ian was a superb host, storyteller, driver and tour guide throughout our travels to Galway, the Dingle peninsula, Killarney, and all things County Kerry.
Our extended family has grown by one, and we can't wait to visit Ian again, have some tae (or other beverage), and tell more stories on an Elegant Dingle Tour. See you soon, my friend!

Slea Head Day Tour was fabulous. Jackie is knowledgeable and friendly. He directed the tour to our personal liking. I was even able to hold a lamb that was just days old. The van is clean and super comfortable. We enjoyed our tour and guide so much that the next day we hired them to take us from Dingle to Shannon. Tristan was our driver on this trip. He made this trip enjoyable and was even able to show us some sights along the scenic route of The Conor Pass. If you are real lucky he will sing an Irish tune! Highly recommend this company for any travel needs in Ireland!

Our family spent a week with Ian in May and our expectations were truly exceeded. We were in Ireland for a golf vacation and Ian managed to show us so many incredible sights that we absolutely would have missed on our own! Each day was perfectly planned and we never had to worry or rush to any of the courses. For the popular attractions, he managed to arrive at times we had the places to ourselves, no large tours or crowds! He thought of everything - even told us the best spots for all our shopping and dining and pulled some strings to get my mom and I into the fully booked Adare Manor Spa! It was the most enjoyable week being able to relax as we were shown beautiful Ireland. We cannot wait to plan another visit with him. Thank you Ian for getting us around so comfortably and safety! A week we won’t forget!

We booked a private half-day tour for 5 of us around the Slea Head peninsula. The company was recommended to us by Bernie at the Bambury Guesthouse.
It was one of the best decisions we made during our 10 days in Ireland. After driving on enough narrow roads for a while, it was great to have Tristan doing it. Plus, it rained all day. Tristan took us down some side trips which we would never attempted ourselves, including up to Conor Pass. Tristan kept us entertained and well-informed, being a local to the area.
