    Two Nights in a Row
We wanted Traditional Irish ‘Trad’ music. In Dingle in the off season, with a friendly crowd, polite bar men, and solid musicians. We found it here at Nelligans. It wasn’t so crowded so we could sit. But I imagine during the season it would be hard to find a place to sit down. The crowd was almost all tourists, the musicians all “local” unbelievably talented and when they sang an emotional element I’m not talented enough to explain. The crowd did not make a sound during much of the music. I hope you get the same experience. I spent time speaking to one of the men behind the bar, he knew whiskies from all over the world. So his recommendations were solid. I really liked this little spot, (so much so we made it back on night 2)

    Great time in Dingle!!
Had a great time at Nelligan's on a recent trip that took us through Dingle. The musicians who showed the night we were there were fantastic. We didn't know what to expect because it was really quiet when we walked in. Music didn't start until after nine and then the place was packed. The staff is really friendly too - great experience!

    Pub visit in Dingle Ireland
What a great night spent in Nelligan’s pub in Dingle! There was great music, dancing, and welcoming atmosphere for the evening. We had such a wonderful evening spent among new friends as we enjoyed the group participation encouraged by the owner, Dara! What a cultural experience in a fantastic place like Dingle to remind me of my Irish roots! Sightseeing in Ireland includes a visit to a lively pub like this one!

    Great traditional music and pub
We were looking for traditional music and hit the jackpot here. As we walked in, 2 people were just getting up from a table right in front so we grabbed the seats and had the best seats in the house for watching and listening to the musicians. Great and friendly service at the bar for a crowded evening. Wish we'd discovered this pub on our first night in Dingle instead of our last! The only bad memory is that I left a bag with a t-shirt I'd purchased earlier in the day and didn't realize it until late at night. When we drove by leaving town, they weren't open yet so that's a shirt I'll never get to wear.

They Literally Danced The Night Away!
When in Dingle, a visit to Neligan's is a must. We were told to get there early to get a good seat. We came early enough to get the best seats in the house right next to the dance floor. We enjoyed a couple of beers and chatted with the bartender. Finally, people began filling up the place in a rather short time. The dancing was spectacular. It was also not for the beginner. These dancers are fantastic and they dance fast. I learned square dancing in high school so I was familiar with some of the moves. The caller was wonderful. She explained the name of the dance, its origin, and the necessary moves. While I did not dance one step, I was worn out from watching. The Begley family has done a great job at keeping this Irish tradition alive and making Neligan's Bar an absolute must!

Excellent service. Good beers and liquor. The Dingle whiskey is the smoothest you’ll ever drink. You’ll have a grand time.

Disgusting behaviour from Americans and a musician ,demanding no conversations in an Irish Pub where they welcome the craic and banter because a musician singing another legends song can't hear himself and then to go out into the main street in Dingle telling people who are minding there own business enjoying themselves to be quite, ridiculous, will never spend another euro in this bar...close the door if you don't want to hear noise from the street ,these tourist are only here for a week and are ruining a beautiful town ,...remember your locals cause you will need them

Walked in on a great session! We were so surprised when all the activity moved to back and the set dancing started. We had so much fun watching all the dancers.

We had three great nights of music, dancing and Guinness in Neligan's during our recent trip to Dingle. Monday was dance night, with local West Kerry set dancing - firstly demonstrated by the regulars and then open to beginners. Two very enjoyable open music session nights followed on. The bar itself and the staff are really welcoming, the musicians are just superb and the whole place has a great atmosphere, with locals and not-so-locals mingling - great craic! One not to be missed!
