Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I bought some lovely silver earrings, not at all Celtic or touristy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My friend bought a gold Claddagh ring for her daughter and they worked with her to find the right one at the right price point.

We were a group of 9 girls visiting with our driver while the boys played golf. The opportunity to purchase some unique pieces, especially those with our (and our kids) names written in Gaelic was to us the perfect memento of our lovely trip. Each of us purchased several things - gifts for back home and some for ourselves, too. There is something for every price point which is nice. My lariat will be shipped to me as there wasn’t enough time for it to be complete, but I’m happy to have it come as a welcome treat after I’ve returned home!

My wife and I visited Brian de Staic's Jewellery Workshop on a recent visit to the beautiful town of Dingle. My wife was in heaven browsing through the beautiful selection of gold and silver jewellery. We purchased some delightful personalized Ogham Pendants for our daughters. Each pendant had their first names hand engraved in the ancient Ogham script. These are a wonderful gift idea for any occasion. We will definitely be back for more in the near future.

In 2004, we purchased a ring from Brian de Staic, and over the years my wife's knuckles changed shape and she was no longer able to put the ring on her finger. She was afraid to take it to just any jeweler, afraid that they wouldn't preserve the quality. We returned to Dingle in 2018, she brought the ring, and they were able to stretch it to fit her finger, and it's still just as lovely.

When you hear about how welcoming the Irish are, they MUST be talking about Brian's shop(s). Helpful staff that know the products, visit the workshop to see things being made! Visit the retail shops to see some other unique items as well. This is a "MUST VISIT" if you are in Dingle. Seriously. Amazing work. I'm a customer for life.

Brian De Staic has figured out that replicating old Ogham Stone designs as well as traditional Celtic ones makes for lovely jewelry. You can buy in silver, 9K, 14K or 18K gold, and there are earrings, bracelets, necklaces, rings and cuff links galore. I bought presents for many members of my family here and will happily shop on line from the states when I am not in Ireland. A Must Stop in Dingle, best jeweler I found there.

Simple. Go see Gerry and Joan at the Brian De Staic workshops in Dingle and ask them if they can make you a one off piece of jewellery ! Absolutely nothing is too much trouble, the service continues to be outstanding - always a warm welcome and smile. The quality of the workmanship is stunning and the showrooms are just breathtaking. A great place to while away some time (and money) with some wonderful local people and benefit from their comprehensive local knowledge too. Thank you yet again !

It's a shop not an attraction. Thought it might offer more about the area and billed as a workshop but not great to visit.

Lovely store with a magnificent range of jewellery. However, not being regular jewellery buyers, we were lead to believe that the ring we purchased (which had to be remade, as the size was not stock standard, and then posted OS) was diamonds and emeralds - small though they may have been. Turns out that, when we received the valuation for insurance purposes (which we had to request by email after the ring arrived with no accompanying documentation, except further flyers for other items available for purchase), we find that in reality they are cubic zirconium.
Put it down to our naivety - "caveat emptor". So, beautiful jewellery but ASK and CLARIFY to avoid (minor) disappointment. Still happy with the quality of the ring and hopefully, value appraisal here at home will match what we paid (or thereabouts).

Thank you for your review. I’m so happy you are happy with the quality of the ring you purchased. We have a computerised system for ticketing and pricing every piece we make. Your ring would have a description clearly stating the stones in the ring. I’m sorry you thought you bought emerald and diamonds. When you looked at the price tag it stated the stones used.Sorry you were a little disappointed. Enjoy your beautiful ring.

If you bring back a keepsake from Ireland, it should be something from Brian de Staic! We visited 6 years ago and I bought several pieces. We visited again in June and I bought a unique lariat style necklace. This is quality jewelry made in Ireland and they offer a large selection in all price ranges. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Don't miss this lovely store!
