This was our second time to Southern Ireland and we remember driving past Molly Gallivan's several times on our last visit so this trip we decided to stop and we are sure glad that we did. Great place for gift shopping and an amazing piece of history all in one. The tour is exceptional and the staff who work there... More

Stopped here as part of our tour and found this to be a real fun experience. The guy who led the tour of the farm was extremely entertaining and very informative as to rural life in Ireland. It also included a demonstration of peat harvesting, a visit to an archaeological area on the farm where the use of stone markers... More

An evening's hospitality and entertainment at Molly Gallivan's Cottage was the highlight of the holiday. The traditional home cooked dinner was excellent, and beautifully served. In the barn we watched a re-enactment of an American wake, and a homecoming, decades later, of the self-made Yank. Into this framework poured traditional songs, solos from a harpist, Irish dancers, and lashings of... More

We stopped and looked in, had a cup of coffee and a walk round realy interesting, owners give you lots of info if you ask, and you can get all the usual Irish bits and pieces cheaper than in town.

An enjoyable stop en route from Kenmare to Killarney. Presentation is authentic and interesting. The walk around the farm is easy for those with mobility issues.

I really enjoyed our stop here! It was very educational learning how the Irish lived out on the farm so many years ago. And the land and the views were spectacular! I would suggest bringing an umbrella or a slicker, as we did have some rain. It didn't stop us from enjoying our visit! Steve was a great host -... More

We stopped here for a picnic lunch on our bike trip through Ireland. The staff welcomed us incredibly warmly on the cold day, and shows us true Irish hospitality. The shop had many cute items, and we loved the owners telling us the history of the shop itself. I definitely recommend stopping in and experiencing it for yourself!

Great little stop off point for an hour or so. The walk around the farm was insightful as is the story about the cottage. Lovely shop & tea room with lovely vistas out the front.

An unexpected stop during our journey through Ireland. Very interesting, we learned a lot about Ireland's past and how people lived and suffered from the famine. Also to take a walk through the grounds and former farm and learn where the druid is looking to. Great shop and friendly staff.
