We were a group of 6 that rented e-bikes for a few hours to explore around The Beara Peninsula. We selected a meeting place and Brian from Finnegan’s brought the bikes out to us where he adjusted the seat heights and gave us instructions on how to use the e-bike controls. It was a great way to see some beautiful views and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. None of our group were regular cyclists so the e-bikes were perfect for getting up those Kerry and Cork inclines!

I booked two good road bikes online a few weeks before heading to Kenmare as part of our holidays.
When we arrived,the bikes were ready to go, and the owner spent time with us to check the fit, explain the bikes (we’re more used to mountain bikes than road bikes), fit our helemts, and provide some great recommendations for a few cycles we could try as we got used to the bikes.
We called back in to get gloves the following day (had forgotten our own), and then did the cycle over Caha Pass to Glengarriff (out one day back the next, but you could do it in one day).
I’d highly recommend Finnegans: great bikes, really good service, very friendly and helpful. Will be back.

I hired an e-bike from Finnegan's, which they delivered and collected from Bantry (44 k) for €50 extra. Bike appeared brand new. I'm a reasonably fit 63-year-old woman with no long distance cycling experience. I clocked up about 300 k over a long weekend, incl. several high climbs, with great ease and no problems. Super bike, super friendly service from Finnegan's.

The cycling in Ireland is fantastic, but it is hard to find performance bikes for rent. Brian has them and he is very responsive, helpful and even excited about helping his customers get out on bikes. We had a great experience renting bikes for our visit to the area.

i received amazing service with Finnegan's. I rented a very solid Carbon road bike and put in 150k/100miles in two days doing the Ring of the Reeks and riding along the coast. The bike was in top notch condition and the team was responsive to any particular needs I had including putting on my pedals and helping me catch the bus on time!

Thanks to Brian for accommodating us and providing two great bikes. The panniers provided were a little mismatched —but nothing a bungee cord couldn't remedy. The bikes themselves were in great shape and served us really well on our 4-day, 175km leisurely tour around the Ring of Beara. We needed to leave early they last day so we worked out a convenient drop-off outside of business hours. Good bikes, good price price, good service

I rented/hired a road bike from Finnegan's Cycle, located in Kenmare Ireland, to cycle in the July 1, 2023 Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle (ROKCC). I had made my booking a couple of months earlier from Canada where I live. I picked up the bike, a Giant road bike, from the shop owner Brian Finnegan, a few days before the ride. He was a very friendly fellow, and my previous correspondence via email from Canada had been great! I had all my own gear with me (helmet, gloves, saddle bag etc). The bike worked flawlessly, and I made it to the finish line in Killarney completing the 170 Km ride! (I am 66 years of age, and have wanted to do this ride for a few years!). From booking to handover of the bikes, everything went smoothly, gently and with a lot of attention to everything.
Material was top guns and even when my partner wanted more saddle adjustment, Brian quickly responded and made all necessary adjustments at his workshop.
If you go to Kenmare, if you want to cycle around (leisurely or on a sportier way), you MUST check on Finnegan's Cycles.
We had just a brilliant time at Kenmare, mostly due to our cycling time.

I hired a hybrid bike from Finnegan's cycle shop in Kenmare. The whole process was really easy and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I cycled the Glengarriff loop 80km of the most stunning scenery and views. Also, into the bargain, I saw an eagle and a falcon. The roads were quiet and well paved. All round a great day out.

I would highly recommend Finnegan's. The staff at were genuinely friendly and helpful. I reserved a carbon road bike online. The right model and size was ready at the time requested. Brian was very helpful in fitting it to my dimensions. The bike met my quality expectations. The routed suggested based on my desire of doing about 50 km - out to Helen's Bar and back along the sea - was stunningly scenic and relatively low traffic. In all ways, a great experience!
