Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Absolutely beautiful place, with breathtaking views. We took our dog and dhe loved swimming in the lake and streams. Very easy routes for us less fit people, plenty of places to stop and picnic while enjoying the spectacular views

As we had young kids with us we drove up to the top lake where there is a boardwalk provided around the lake so it's easy to get around - the kids loved the adventure. Scenery was stunning even though we didn't have the best weather and it's very well kept and maintained.

This is a must when in the area. We drove up to the top lake. Walked around on the boardwalk provided. If we had more time we would have parked at the entrance and walked to both lakes. Scenery is stunning. Would recommend applying insect repellant. A real hidden gem. Very well kept and maintained.

We were blessed with great weather for our trek from glenteenasig woods up to lough caum, the scenery is absolutely stunning. Its about 7-8km out and back moderate trek to the top of you can do a loop that is just over 10km. There is a gravel roadway the whole way up so you can always drive up if there is someone in your party that would struggle with the walk. The prize at the top is a beautiful hill top lake. Bring a picnic as there are plenty of spots to stop.

We did almost two hours of walking in this scenic spot and were really taken with it. We parked at the first car park and walked to the top where we then walked on the boardwalk around the lake. It took almost an hour to walk to the top but for visitors with less time, there is a middle car park and you can also park at the top at the lake. There are picnic tables. This is a real gem that we will definitely revisit in the future.

What a beautiful place. !!! We visited the this beautiful walk with our family and took a leisurely walk around the lakes stopping at many spots to admire the most amazing views. Wow !!! It's well maintained with wooden sleepers to walk on the whole way around making it easy and pleasant. We all loved it and will most definitely return here again with a picnic on a nice day. Well worth a visit. Stunning !!!!

Great walk around the lake 😍 There is a wooden walkway around the forest 🌳 Great place to bring dogs for a walk and a great place for a picnic with the family 🧺 Bit of a drive from Tralee but worth the drive 🚗 Highly recommend everyone to visit ‼️
