Glenteenasig to lough caum
Sep 2020 • Couples
We were blessed with great weather for our trek from glenteenasig woods up to lough caum, the scenery is absolutely stunning. Its about 7-8km out and back moderate trek to the top of you can do a loop that is just over 10km. There is a gravel roadway the whole way up so you can always drive up if there is someone in your party that would struggle with the walk. The prize at the top is a beautiful hill top lake. Bring a picnic as there are plenty of spots to stop.

Fabulous walk
Aug 2020 • Family
We did almost two hours of walking in this scenic spot and were really taken with it. We parked at the first car park and walked to the top where we then walked on the boardwalk around the lake. It took almost an hour to walk to the top but for visitors with less time, there is a middle car park and you can also park at the top at the lake. There are picnic tables. This is a real gem that we will definitely revisit in the future.

Gorgeous walk here in July 2020. Beautiful scenery. We parked at the first carpark & did an approx 8km loop to the lake & around using the boardwalk. Really enjoyable afternoon. 😃

What a beautiful place. !!! We visited the this beautiful walk with our family and took a leisurely walk around the lakes stopping at many spots to admire the most amazing views. Wow !!! It's well maintained with wooden sleepers to walk on the whole way around making it easy and pleasant. We all loved it and will most definitely return here again with a picnic on a nice day. Well worth a visit. Stunning !!!!

Great walk around the lake 😍 There is a wooden walkway around the forest 🌳 Great place to bring dogs for a walk and a great place for a picnic with the family 🧺 Bit of a drive from Tralee but worth the drive 🚗 Highly recommend everyone to visit ‼️

Walk in forest park
Apr 2019
This park is in the middle of nowhere about 15 mins drive from Castlegregory. You can drive up to the second lake and walk around it. Kerry Co Co have put railway sleepers around it so the walk is very easy and would take 30 to 45 mins.Scenery is spectacular. Alternatively there is a car park just at the entrance and you can walk up to the lakes and back down again about 1.5 to 2 hours. Very quiet and beautifully maintained. Caution required on a windy day

"Stunning Scenery"

Magnificent views all the way around appreciated by all ages and a large boulder to stop for photos with the kids on top near the end. Boardwalk right around but watch out for the 🐑💩, old runners advised! Well worth a visit!
