council cut backs are starting to show on this park as there is need for a considerable amount of pruning to be done on all the borders and particually on the boating lake islands.

Always a pleasure to wander about the park, enjoy the floral displays and shrubs etc. Not missing the ducks of course. This time there were market stalls too. Oh, don't forget to call for a drink and bite to eat at the cafe.

Whilst we did not stay long in the park, it is very pleasant. It has a boating lake and good facilities for children. Gardens are well laid out and very colourful. Would be a nice place to go for a picnic especially with children.

if you're just looking for an amble, and to watch the many activities, it's free. I've been coming with various generations for fifty years, and I keep going back.
