Bakewell is a lovely town but this market was heaving. There were road works on the other side of town from where we came in, but the impact was across the whole area. Literally lorries and coaches blocking roads through no fault of their own....More

I thoroughly enjoyed the market and it´s hustle and bustle. Lovely town in the Peak District which had a certain flair to it. Lots of shops and a good bus connection to the rest of the Peak District.

The market is very good on a Monday if the weather is ok. Plenty of different stalls. Fruit and veg, tools, shoes, cards, sweets, food and cakes, stationary, bedding ect. Best to go early before it gets busy. Parking £1.50 for first hour, £2 two...More

This Market is such a lovely walk around and there every Monday and then we enjoyed a walk along the river too followed by fush and chips

Visited market with my partner. Wanted to buy something unusual for the grand children and found a lovely well presented stall selling all sorts of gifts in a tin, ranging from zoos,farms,fishing ports etc to Eiffel towers(mecano like construction kits) grand children were well pleased

Dont bother attending. Everyone in the town really talked this market up and it was just a massive dissappointment. Wouldnt bothet wasting time to come and look. Maybe it was because it was snowing but it was reallllly averagem definately not a tourist market thats...More

Not been to the market at Bakewell for years. A bit disappointing same old market staples I expected a few more veg stalls and country type stalls.

yes, Facebook post says there is a market Monday. Go early as it will be busy.
