Had a wonderful day in Bakewell, enjoying the hustle and bustle of the market, the lovely independent shops and the jewel in the crown was a Bakewell pudding from Bloomers which I took home and enjoyed that evening

This shop had a lovely selection and was reasonably priced. The Bakewell pudding was delicious. Much nicer than the shop on the main Street.

Tried this and Bakewell Parlour. Both were a delightful place to have tea and tart We enjoyed strolling about town and parking was easy. It was lovely day out to have tea .

We stopped here on the way from the Peak District back to Oxford and the stop-off for Bakewell tarts *and* puddings was well worth it!... absolutely delicious!! We also learned the difference between the Bakewell tart and pudding, but you'll have to stop at Bloomers...More

The mince pies here to die for. I imagine the recipe is a closely guarded secret. They are simply delicious. We buy six dozen every year and they never last long! Perfect festive treat.
