Bloomers was recommended by the owners of The Thorntons Coffee Shop in the town as their supplier of Bakewell Puddings we thought we would get some to take home after our weekend away. A shop filled with lots if good things, with pleasant, friendly & polite staff behind the counter. A great little place really worth a visit. Highly recommended.

In Bakewell for the first time, so had to get an authentic tart... or pudding... I asked the lady in the shop what the difference was, and a pudding has puff pastry and custard like almond topping, whereas a tart has shortcrust pastry and sponge topping. I opted for the tart which I found delicious in texture and taste, bursting... More

Visit here on a regular basis for a variety of produce, sandwiches pastries etc. Always good service and good food. ... apart from a pork pie I recently had, under baked and rather bland. Everything else is excellent, especially the range of cakes and biscuits. Highly recommended

This is the place to get the original Bakewell pudding - such an amazing taste, when I got home I ordered more which arrived safe and well 2 days later. Will be using them again!

What a lovely little business, ran by extremely friendly and welcoming people. Today we drove 2 1/2 hours from Lincolnshire to the Chatsworth Christmas market - purely because we knew bloomers would have a stall there, all our family had given us their orders for pies and pastries too as they know how lovely they are! Not been anywhere that... More

On a day out to Bakewell,we discovered this charming little shop selling local produce and their speciality Bakewell pudding. The pudding was delicious, as was the pork pie and lovely egg custard. The staff were very helpful and suggested some excellent Derbyshire cheeses.

I wanted to try puddings from all three of the outlets in Bakewell and having previously visited the Old Original shop on this visit I tried the other two - Bloomers and the Pudding Factory. Bloomers is one of the two outlets claiming to have the original authentic recipe (though expert opinion seems to suggest that a pudding of this... More

We were almost at closing time and the girl serving was most rude to the point we nrealy walked out without buying anything. SHE certainly wasn't going to work 1 second more than she needed to. Fortunately the excellent merchandise nearly made up for her rudeness.
