The most beautiful garden, possibly in the UK, but Christmas dressing of the site not in keeping with setting, or spirit of this wonderful house ... of which you see only a few rooms. Yes, there were 20 trees, but most were plastic, as were...More

We visited this week and used our national trust card. Beautiful place and wished we had more time before it got dark. Very much recommend a visit but give yourself plenty of time as there is much to see.

We visited the house to see the Christmas decorations but also had a stroll around the gardens.Even in late November, the tree colour was still stunning.

Beautiful lakeside circular walk with a grotto and a little cottage selling coffee. The house is lovely and well cared for. Also a very poignant family story attached.
