Clearly stands out as you approach the town. Its about 500 feet above sea level and the tower itself is over 100 feet high. A great spot to take photos with its views over the town, the airfield and the sea.

This site, hard by sunset, is a photographer’s delight. Lines, colours, horizon, subject matter, rule of 3’s, on and on. A good clamber upward warns your spirit and provides context for the importance of this tower. And the views of the slough & general aviation...More

A superb and awe-inspiring panorama stretches out from this hilltop viewing point of the Ards Peninsula and Strangford Lough on a cloudless and crisp early Autumn afternoon.A reward for the effort of making it up to the top.

My two daughters and I conquered Scrabo Tower in the wind and rain. Worth it as the views of Strangford Lough are fantastic from the top and we’ve built up a fabulous appetite!!
