Interesting addition to the Andrew Jackson House

Nice exhibit of U.S. Rangers during their time in Carrickfergus. Worth visiting if you're interested in World War II history.

Seán was great craic and made this visit very special for our daughter who is registered blind (and her teddy bear 'Happy'). Offered us tea or coffee which we declined but he sent us on our way... Very interesting small U.S.Army Ranger historical museum! Very nice curator! Location also highlights 19th Century Irish home and living conditions.

Great display and photographic record of US Rangerss history and deployment in the surrounding area during World War 11 prior to their subsequent engagement against the Germans. Detailed historic account from guide of training etc in local area.

Very good and excellent museum and excellent place. You learn a man who came from this town to be the American president which is brilliant and to know he lived in that cottage.

I'm interested in WW2 and though I knew a bit about the US Rangers.... What I didn't know is that they were formed in my adoptive home town, until I visited this small museum on the outskirts of Carrick. Only 85 of the original 500+ men survived the war and this is a testimony to there bravery. Yes it's small,... More

This attraction can be found behind the Andrew Jackson Cottage, which has a collection of uniforms, photos, documents and some other stuff, and a good way to kill 30 minutes. The two attractions go hand-in-hand, and well worth the trip up from town.

The two attractions are a great free visit and I took about 20 men to see them. We spent about 20 minutes in each with a well informed guide from the... More
