Lovely walks along the Riverside and through the woods up to the castle. The waterfalls on the river are easily viewed from the water's edge and from then pathways above. Lovely view of the front of the Priory from the castle and a short walk up to the village where there is a shop, pub, cafe and public toilets

castle is built on a cliff overlooking the river. the walks along the river and through the parks are great. we parked at the servite priory and followed the path to the castle. the castl itself was closed for conservation work. our guide for the day was a rather large st Bernard dog belonging to the priory.
