Cranfield Beach

Beautiful views over Carlingford Lough. Large sandy beach and walkway along the front. There are a couple of caravan sites here too and can be hired for holidays.

Myself and my partner went for a lovely little walk down the sea front. The beach is gorgeous and clean! Friends people greeted us and felt very welcome. Would be perfect in summer months

As a local we often go for walks here as a family. It is always clean and outside of the holiday period it is often completely empty. Young families are well catered for with lifeguards( holidays only) and designated bathing areas clearly marked. Plenty of parking and good clean toilet facilities. A good place for a walk /paddle/ build sandcastles... More

A lovely long beach with plenty of sand and grassy areas for the kids. It offers long stretch for beach walkers, can be stoned in parts. Sea clean, but can be prone to jellyfish. I've returned to this beach every year since childhood. On a warm sunny day it is fabulous. Parking more difficult than in years gone by. Neat... More

Had stayed in the caravan park two years ago, so knew about this beach. Lovely for a walk, paddling, quite clean, few stones before you get to the sand

I read some of the positive reviews and was looking forward to my first visit to Cranfield. However my wife and I were extremely disappointed. The beach was coverd in thick seaweed and large stones, there were certainly no "beautiful golden sands" as described in some of the reviews. We also ended up driving down a lane with huge potholes... More

Having holidayed here for most of my childhood, Cranfield is a place I love to visit. Great for walks along the beautiful beach or a nosey through the caravan site. On a sunny day the beach is hard to beat and there are plenty of people in swimming. Good for a picnic and relax on your own or with family... More
