We had a wonderful lunch sitting on the grass and relaxing all day. A great place for the kids to play and enjoy many activities in this vast open area.

Amazing beach! Lots of shade which is what we were seeking since we have a young daughter. You’re able to rent snorkel gear right on the beach and my husband was able to see some amazing coral reefs and tons of fish, from right off...More

Spend a day snorkeling and swimming. Beautiful four foot turtle was swimming in the shallow water and feeding on the reef. Lots of fish also very close the beach. Very nice small beach to spend a day.

My wife and I stayed here and the beach is fabulous. It is a bit of a walk to get too. Amazing views.

Beautiful beach, but incredibly choppy due to weather. We were told it is like this most of winter, which means no snorkeling here.

Walked by this beach almost everyday. Everyday it was crowded and everyday lots of people waiting for parking spots to open up. Most of the beaches we saw in Maui were really nice - and there are lots of them, so I'm not sure why...More

Visited Merriman's which overlooks the ocean and at the end of Kapalua beach. You can walk down from Merriman's to the beach itself when they are open. The beach itself is a cove inlet so the waves are very much milder as it is not...More

Beautiful bay with clear water to snorkel. Lots of beautiful fish and many turtles Wherever you go to snorkel on the island be sure to sit and watch the water 15-20 mins prior to entering.

This is a great place to spend a few hours snorkeling, beaching, bobbing in the waves. Very safe for kids. Great snorkeling. Wonderful white coral sand. Just be aware, parking is tough. Go early or plan on waiting in line for a parking spot. Or...More

This was the best snorkeling that we found while on Maui for 10 days. It was amazing. We saw 4 turtles, an eel, and tons of fish! There are a lot of rocks further out but the shallow section of the beach is great for...More

It's public. I highly recommend getting there early in the morning, as parking (as well as the beach) fills up. Parking is limited.

Yes, there was a small hut on one end of the beach where you could rent snorkel gear. I don't know about prices, didn't pay attention, as we had bought snorkel masks on Amazon and brought them with us.
