Scenic and safe, this is the spot for catching the best view of the setting sun. Night after night, overlooking the water and a cluster of moored yachts, couples, families and children wander the malecon.

This is a nice area for a romantic walk. You can watch the sunset or eat in any of the restaurants across the street from the boardwalk. Interestingly some of them have hotels above the restaurants. Plenty of music playing and lots of food choices. We even went to the smallest aquarium in the world museum. There is one tour... More

The beauty of Malecon is indescribable from the sunsets to the sunrises. The boardwalk is easy to negotiate and there is a local tavern or eatery within a few steps... More

You must remember that during off season many of the places are closed down. So you may have done your research on what restaurants to visit and get down there and many are close. There are those open that have all year long owners that you will enjoy. It's only a few blocks long or better say a quarter of... More

Has many places to go to. Restaurants, museum, clothing. Also sometimes local artisans sell art. Very close to the beach. Also has tour booths.

It's a block long and you can walk back and forth three or four times and still have most of the evening left to do something else. Some cars cruise around looking for girls and playing loud... Plenty of dining options at all prices. A lovely evening walk along the paved path that lines the coast. We also purchased some local crafts from artist set up there. Very pleasant.
