I hadn't realised that The Cathedral Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary was so new. Building work didn't start until 1880, built in the Gothic Revivial style it looks much older. Situated in the centre of Truro entry is free but donations are accepted, a very interesting guide book is £3. The cathedral is home to three wonderful stained glass... More

Truro Cathedral is a must-see if you are visiting Cornwall. It has the most excellent stained glass windows, and if you are really lucky, you may catch the organ in action, or see a site-specific art installation or exhibition.

Lovely cathedral in the heart of the small city of Truro. Beautiful cobbled streets lead you there. Nice little gift shop at side for momentos.

Truro is a beautifull city lots of places to eat inside on cold days and outside to see the world go by. Interesting shops little alleways to explore even catch a boat for a trip on the river. A must is the cathedral right in the centre of town stained glass windows that the cornish sun shines through. Only downfall... More

Walk out from the Cafe and turn right you will find yourself in the Cathedral, this also makes easy access to the Cafe if you have a mobility problem. A short stroll around the quite elegant place will take you to the main door and the center of Truro,so, may I suggest that you park in the large car park... More

My wife and I visited Truro Cathedral whilst on a coaching holiday in Cornwall. It is a beautiful, peaceful place which is joy to visit, cared for by people who love their tasks and make it so special. There is also a very pleasent cafe attached to the Cathedral - the lovely staff serve smashing cakes and great coffee.

Not to be missed. Couldn't be more central. Pay at the entrance if you wish - but no-one will "chase" you for a fee. Peaceful and calm even when busy. Lunchtime recitals are often held - without charge. Good quality cafe. Fund raising with roof slate purchases is very novel and hopefully lucrative.

It really does look amazing on a sunny day. It's a proper jewel in the city. Can't miss it when in Truro.
