Good but could be scary for some

Be wary of taking children inside as images are horrific and some nudity. You won't forget your visit or some of the images!!! I would recommend for adults.

Awesome experience. Went to see the Quadrophenia exhibition in particular but spent over 3 hours there as there was just so such to see and read. It definitely isn't for kids or people with a nervous disposition and there are signs everywhere to that effect so if you go in and don't like what to see you've no-one to blame... More

There are warning signs before entering this attraction, but as they still allow 3yr olds in you wonder "How scary can it be". Not scary at all, just sick. There are two sections marked for over 18's only. In my opinion, the whole attraction should be over 18's ONLY. Photo's of accident victims, murders, beheadings, torture, nudity, victims of concentration... More

I love this place, it has everything that interests me, not for the easily offended but it's eye opening.

There are very few words which can describe this place and do it justice. Having visited the jail (which isn't a historical jail museum, just an empty place which has been turned into a museum showcasing anything but jail history/memorabilia) and recounted my experience to friends living in the Forest, they all said that they were shocked we hadn't heard... Amazing, interesting, eye opening, shocking, unbelievable, upsetting so many OMG moments. Everywhere walls, ceilings floors and glass cabinets are full. Could not believe how many people, stories and item's there was there. An amazing collection, place. The man there on the day was a wealth of knowledge and very happy to pass on those extra little quirky stories from the... More

This is certainly a place with a difference. However, the warnings outside the goal are not there to dare you to enter. The owners mean every word. If your squeamish or simply do not wish to know how base mankind can be, then don't go. I can't say that I enjoyed it as it is not for enjoyment, but as... More

A interesting museum in a great venue however it is cluttered and could use more structure to exhibit some of the genuinely interesting items they hold. The room taken up by newspaper clippings would be better utilised giving more space to interesting items. The focus on crime of all forms were highlights as were the unusual items in the main... We visited here not knowing what to expect and we found the unexpected! This is an amazing place. The jail cells are full with articles and photographs about everything. Some of the content is really gruesome so not suitable for young children but it is arranged in a way that it can be by-passed without ruining other content. We visited... More

If you want to go and visit something you've never seen before and you are open minded and do like history also this is the place. I do have an interest in criminal history so it was an obvious choice to visit. I strongly advise going with children as there is some sensitive material. We spent 3 of hours there... More
